Bruno is our club captain, lifted a major domestic trophy 5 days ago, he's idolized by the fans, universally loved by his teammates, the manager has built a team around him, his new best mate plays next to him, his family are treated like royalty in the region, and he's got enough money to head to wherever exotic place he'd like to go in the summer or on days off with his lovely family.

HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

The idea of Bruno leaving might be the stupidest shit ive ever heard like.

His whole family is entwined in the region. I can't imagine for a second there is any desire from him, his family or any other player to leave.

There are scenarios where it could happen but it's so minute that it's not worth even a second thought IMO.

When i think of Bruno, I can only think about how he will be viewed in say 20 years. When he's retired and he's doing the odd interview, or when he's in the posh seats like Shearer was for this cup final and we see Bruno and his family supporting Newcastle.

Could he be revered as much as Shearer, or possibly more? It feels that way to me. I think it's his personality that sets him apart. He's just such an amazing person. Our first cup winning captain in 70 years.

Milburn, McDonald, Shearer, Keegan, Robson.... Bruno. I absolutely love the lad.

Yes, he could. If he stays a few more years, keeps his level of playing and the club continues its upward trajectory, he could be the most notable figure in the club’s modern history, alongside Isak if he does similar. Big Al may have the edge in goals and being THE figurehead of NUFC for a decade but if Bruno, Isak and Joelinton pocket a couple of more winner’s medals, then it’s a very different story.

Bruno's interview where he said along the lines of "People have died, people have grown up and not seen Newcastle Champions......but here we are, Champions again!!" Really got me. Summed it up perfectly.

One of the best quotes from a player in our history, for a non native speaker saying that with such emotion in the heat of the moment was just magic, feel teary just thinking about it.

Yeah. He oozes charisma and just seems a genuine, stand up guy. His emotions are what makes him so great and are also his downfall at times. You can tell it really does mean so much to him.

In fairness, most of this squad manage to come across as ‘normal’.

In this day and age and with how modern footballers come across and are portrayed. It’s refreshing to see.

Gives me goosebumps every time I think of it! Amazing.

In decades to come, he will be spoken of as Moncur’s successor, as kin to Shearer, as the man who believed when nobody believed. As the perfect captain, a leader by example and a leader full stop, who looked to involve and celebrate others at the precise moment when the world was looking at him. As Newcastle’s history boy.

Cracking description. Him, Burn and Tripps are the architects of the new era, along with Eddie and Tindall.

Think how different our season would be if he’d left in the summer. Yes we’d have Anderson and Minteh still but Bruno is more valuable to us than them. Aye he’s had his bad moments and he cannot call a coin toss to save his life, but he encapsulates what we are about.

Don't the away team call it?  He is just unlucky and never wins one and it seems like teams always turn us around now and perhaps that wasn't always the case before?
