That seems such a tiny amount these days, for a player of Bruno's quality if a top top club wants him they won't hesitate paying that. Not saying all of this isn't genuine and he clearly loves being here, but in a years time if we've finished 6th and Real Madrid chuck in a 100mil? Not a response to you directly, but let’s not worry about that until that day eventually comes. Let’s be happy that he has committed himself to us. IF this is something Bruno and his agent demanded then so be it, he’s still happy to commit. A potential release clause and him signing is so much better than not signing at all. Him being happy is the best way for us going forward. Hypothetically speaking, if there was no release clause and Madrid came in for him for example and he really wanted to leave then he would be gone no matter what. He took a risk by signing for us, and he has more than paid back the good faith. IF he decides in the future that he wants away then the club wouldn’t stand in his way, and rightly so. I think it was reported as over £100m rather than actually £100m. There have only been 8 transfers of £100m or more and most, or all, of them will have been in structured instalments rather than up-front.
