Isn't the current Brazil manager the guy that doesn't believe in positions (or positional football, at least)? Some video was linked to it and all the football hipsters call it 'relationism' (ffs).

Sounds like it could either be class or absolutely shite.

There's definitely some theory in that. We've had a few managers in the Ashley era that definitely followed the same philosophy including far less training sessions and fucking off on holiday

It's sort of interesting, although it's kinda not new, in ways it's close to the actual old Total Football idea of all players able to play all positions, however that evolved away more to have fluidity but still you know a CB is a CB. Keegan loved to turn his CBs into defensive players mind, albeit that was more to make things more attacking one feels. We shall see if it is the next big thing but instituting it will be difficult with international side particularly one with lots of high profile players all over the world, one thing to do it with a smaller country where you can get the players together more young and pick from a league more with similar styles. I just watched some explanations of it and it ends up looking, oh that looks like all the players going to one side of the pitch, all you need is someone good at distributing and you can bypass most the team...

Everyone seems to talk about how unpredictable it is but it seems pretty easy to overcome, in all honesty. Like almost everything tactical in football, it's been seen before in some guise or another.
