Heron
Just seen that interview immediately after the game for the first time. Wow. Powerful stuff. He fucking adores it here and we fucking adore him. What a guy. Growing into such a good captain.
Kid Icarus
He's a kindred spirit. Whether that means we're a bit Brazilian or he's a bit Geordie I don't know or mind. All I know is that we love him and he loves us. Jonas had it as well, there's an unspoken bond there with players who just like us wear their hearts on their sleeves and fucjing love football. He also goes into the all time Newcastle XI. A captain that saw us to our first trophy in decades ffs. He's a legend.

It comes off or wins him a free kick 9 times out of 10 as well, and it also just proves how good we were for 99 minutes yesterday that the one time something doesn't come off they play a great pass and score within seconds. There is something in what you've said I reckon and that is that the South Americans in general wear their hearts on their sleeves with regards to football and I think we've always been a very hearty club but not always with much head. Eddie Howe has brought that element and all of a sudden, we've become a lot more well rounded as a club.

McDog
Funny thing for me is, when he was named captain I thought it was a terrible idea. The ONLY reason is he gets really hot headed and that's the last thing you want from your captain. That said, he's toned it down and done a great job since being named. You have to love Bruno, hope he stays for a long time.

I thought the same thing about one of Joelinton's tackles that reminded me of Mascherano's tackle on Robben where he split his arse or something. Players like that really suit us. gjohnson
Well whatever...he has cemented his place in our history. Along with the whole squad and coaching team. He will be remembered as a legend regardless and deservedly so. Might not be one of the best ever players, but on the day he was captain. Yes we've had faster midfielders, yes we've had more skilled, we've had tougher, we've even had better leaders. Bruno has the blend and the trophy
Infinitely Content
The interview he gave on the final whistle is probably the most beautifully emotive moment I've seen in football. His quality on the pitch is undoubtable - clearly one of the best players in the league since he arrived in England; however that interview displays what sets him apart from the rest. He has the extraordinarily rare ability to absorb and embody the heart, soul and mentality of our supporters, and I can tell he genuinely views walking out on the pitch as representing us. Not as a platitude or a cliche, but actually - genuinely. He's childlike in the most beautiful way, his heart is in it and we're blessed to have him. No other club in this league has a Bruno Guimarães. Edited March 18 by Infinitely Content

Bruno has the blend and the trophy I think he is one of the finest all-round midifelders we have had. His ability to keep the ball, use his body to shield the opposition, play a through ball to the forwards are such rare traits. You combine this with his passion and drive and he is an elite player. What he lacks in pace, he makes up for in his rare qualities.
Memphis
https://streamable.com/1f3mc7 Was hoping I could embed this clip but oh well. I cut this from the EFL behind the scenes video. Incredible moment. Short but so worth a watch and if anyone can figure out how to embed it, that'd be even better. Edited March 18 by Memphis

He's not going to sprint past someone like Dyer, he's not going to dribble past everyone like Ben arfa, he's not going to destroy like Batty. He does bits of all

Sean
I love this guy so much man. He walked in to a team fighting relegation and talked about winning trophies and writing his name in the clubs history - but he did it with such passion and belief no-one laughed. Then when we saw his quality we all believed - it was inevitable if he stayed long enough he would lead us to glory.
