I don’t know. Comparing different eras and positions is near impossible though.

Should class him as homegrown if not British saying as he came here aged 5.

Edit.....he often gets mentioned as a possible for the first player we signed from a foreign (non Britush or Irish) club due to his roots and name but he signed from exotic Barnsley. I've an idea, not definitive, who the first one was and if I'm right its a surprise.

If he sees out his career here, which he just might be crazy enough to do, I could see him being ahead of everyone save Shearer and Milburn (and Milburn will be beyond the memory of most people alive by then). He’s our one active player who could legitimately get a statue one day.

We have had many excellent foreign players at this club. But for me, none have bought into the club as much as Bruno. He came in when we where in a desperate situation and since then he have been a reflection of what the team/club was all about during the turn around.

For me, he is already one of the most influential players we have had for 20 years (or even more).

A warrior and a genuine nice bloke.

He’s not.

I have a feeling this injury will be keeping him out for a while.

Eddie says he has a chance for Saturday.

We absolutely cannot treat the game as one, although I get where you're coming from.

We can go for it with the rest of the squad, or at least the ones who are fit and raring to go.

He’s got previous for coming out with stuff like this re: injuries. Livramento, Joelinton, Botman……

But the vast majority of the time, what he says in relation to injury recoveries is accurate.

But no-one ever highlights this, they just focus on the small number of times it isn’t.
