Where would people have him in their all-time/lifetime NUFC list these days? He could well be #2 for me, though I could be forgetting a very obvious candidate or two.

Miley was quality today, but we still missed Bruno badly.

Obertan and ASM on the bench (don't need anyone else)

Won't be a popular view among his detractors but I adored Ben Arfa from the first moment... then he was sensational... then he was a symbol. There's probably only him in my adult life who I've loved to that extent, but Bruno is magical. He's the epitome of everything we could want a Newcastle player to be: brilliant and fucking loves it. He'd be my number three.

The Howe era is just full of them with, isn't it? Bruno, Joelinton, Burn, Schär, Trippier... so many players you tell your grandkids about.

All so fantastic in their own right.

#1

Putting talent and leading us to a cup aside, what's special about Bruno and elevates him for me is how much he cares while not being from here.

I genuinely believe he wants to cheer, cry, scream and pull his fucking hair out at situations that, we as fans, want to do so as well. I've never really experienced that to the same level with another player.

Special mention to just how damn hard he tries. We know he isn't the most blessed athletically, but I will repeat what I've said in the past: he does not stop trying, ever.

Most distance covered in 2023/2024 & 2024/2025? Our captain! I love him to bits tbh.

Really hope he’s fit. Hate playing injured players. If he’s fit it’s massive for us. If he’s not then our midfield (that was already going to struggle against Vitinha and how fast they move it) is going to struggle

Don't risk him until 100% ready. Still so much to play for.

Yep if it means missing this and the city cup game then so be it. Not expecting too much from these 2 games anyway so go similar team to the psg game and make sure hes fit for villa in the cup/next champions league games

Exactly. No need to take any risks. Think it will do Ramsey and Willock the world of good to play some consecutive games aswell.
