I thought a dead rubber is when there's nothing to play for. If we get that early goal things could get interesting

Exactly. Last half of football they played they lost 0-2.

And yes, I am choosing to conveniently ignore this:

Might need 3 unless we are confident of keeping a clean sheet down there. :nope:

Obviously we want to go there and get through to the final, and anything other than that is essentially a failure.

However, given that disgusting run of results, getting a 2-1 win or even a draw, might actually help convince everyone associated at the club that going there isn’t an automatic defeat. Which would be helpful going forward.

There's a valid argument for him even if you took out "foreign".

I think that would be pushing it at present, but if he stays for another 4/5 years….

If @Alan Pardew can do it …

Yes lads. Goal from that Aarons. He never did much afterwards but he had a good game that night. We were in a great win streak around that time. See ya later.

We desperately need this guy back.

The longer he’s not available, the more obvious he’s been carrying this team since his arrival.

Is there no word on how long he is out for? Wasn't he on the bench the game after he came off injured too?

I imagine Eddie will say he may be available vs Brentford and give nothing away.

Can just imagine how agitated he's been on the sidelines watching us stuttering

At least he's not picking fights with away crowds like other out of action north east midfielders, the classy guy that he is

Does Ben Jacobs hate us?

Ben Jacobs:

"With Bruno Guimarães, my understanding is there's kind of a verbal agreement in place that for £80m for a Champions League club, Newcastle would engage."

"I'm still told that if somebody is to move for Bruno Guimaraes within England, it's more likely to be Manchester City than Manchester United, and City will likely be in the conversation for Elliot Anderson as well."

No one is paying 80m for Bruno at his age. He turns 29 the start of next season. How many players his age have gone for 80m+?
