Yeah, Niall, he's no Irving fucking Nattress because Nattress was a fucking RIGHT back you cunt. Obvs, said in my head like cos she's still in bed ?️?? Still works though, he's a full back and I totally get what you mean. (Could have said Alan Kennedy though) #anotheroldbastard. Mansour
Disciplined, hard-working, reliable, excellent defensively (which is rare), and available for a reasonable fee. Hard to say no, honestly. Get him, work on the rest of the team for now and get someone better in 2-3 seasons and hopefully by then he will be more than happy to be a back-up in a much better team. If there is a clearly better option now, then why not, but I cannot think of any, really.

buzza
If we buy an "attacking" left back we would surely need good back up and/or a good defensive alternative like Targett. He has never let us down all season and gives =>7+ performances every weekend. Get him signed!!

Cracking left foot too - scored more from full back than anyone I've seen in B&W Aye he was decent, never felt he was one of our stronger players in our team at the time, though. He wasn't one of our best players - but I was always of the opinion that he was better than Beresford. When Dalglish finally gave him a run at LB post-Keegan, he scored six or seven from LB in a dozen or so games. Dalglish then did the most Dalglish thing ever, and sold him for buttons whilst spunking nearly 5m on Pistone.
Guest
Elliott scored those goals from LM and LCM mainly in the run-in. Ginola was the one he replaced in the XI.

cubaricho
Happy to hear that he’s close to signing. Just absolutely rock solid and we can move up the table with him.

bowlingcrofty
If we can get him for £12m it’s an absolute no brainer. A solid mid table PL left back who will continue to improve under our current set up. He’s ideal for the next couple of years and gives him the opportunity to show he can cut it in a team on the up. Guest
I think he could be like Hughes was in the 01/03 teams. He can defend and he is better than people give him credit for going forward.
Happinesstan
Was just thinking today that maybe we were stalling to bring the price down. £15mil was agreed before he fell in love with the club. Shrewd business if that's the case.

First couple of games I thought he seemed a bit one dimensional, looking to swing the ball in whenever he could, but he seemed to be getting closer to Trippier in his decision making the more time he got. Making disguised passes inside, taking on fullbacks, and even making decent runs into the box. He's obviously got a decent left foot on him, I don't think there's much stopping him from being a genuinely great allround fullback. We do still need a proper offensive wingback though, even if they're just young cover. Edited June 8, 2022 by Hanshithispantz

The Prophet
I wonder if we've had a bash at trying to negotiate down the Lodi price and gone back to the drawing board? In time, we will need a more offensive full back, but Targett was brilliant last season and is absolutely fine for where we are.
