Because Lingard will still be playing for his preferred West Ham?

What I'm looking forward to is he is more consistent than Manquillo and I'd say stronger defensively, much better defensively than Richie and much better on the ball than Dummett and probably a better full back.

With so much play starting from the back, he's good enough with the ball to be in on it, not as good as Trippier but competent enough. Teams won't just force us into giving it to his side knowing that either Richie can't defend it should we lose it or its a 30yd clip upfield from Dummett.

I'd never heard him talk before. Absolutely does not sound like a footballer, but seems like a really nice lad. He reminds me so much of one of my mates who's actually the most competitive bloke I've ever known.

A good side yeah. Point being? Their defence is elite and that GF is very much not in line with anyone around them. Their manager is a pure pragmatist and they have one of the best keepers in the league?

All of which is irrelevant because you said goals are not our problem, they are also our problem along with conceding.

Sorry, was in a hurry and thought you'd get my meaning for some reason.

Point being that with a better defence, our GF is fine. There are plenty of teams in the low 20s like us with more games played. Obvious to say but results are the problem and they can be improved with a better defence just as much as they can with more goals.
