The playoff picture just got a lot more interesting, and it's now definitely 4 going for 2 spots.

5) Sheff Utd 72, +14

6) Luton, 72, +7

--------------------------

7) Boro, 70, +12

8) Millwall, 69, +9

Sheff Utd vs Fulham

Luton vs Reading

Preston vs Boro

Bournemouth vs Millwall

Not sure how that impacts Sheff Utd. Fulham had been under par for a while, but are obviously the best team in the league, but they have passed 100 goals, Mitro has broken the record, and they have had a great day at home, so who knows how they will respond on the final day. Luton have the easiest fixture, but their confidence will be hit hard. Boro and Millwall obviously have to win and hope, but Boro will probably be fancying their chances of making it if they win after that result from both a Sheff U and Luton perspective. Millwall will be hoping that Bournemouth beat Nottm Forest tomorrow so that their promotion is sealed before the final day.

Interesting day ahead.

Still not good business is it.

I mean Rondon 100% was and let's not kid ourselves there is reason we sold Tony to a League 1 club at the time, Armstrong seems very Dwight Gayle in that he's great in the Championship but can't cut it in the Premier League, and Mitrovic has has 4/5 seasons in the too division and never really made an impression.

It's completely understandable why in isolation each of them players left. It's not Rafa's fault he had to consistently pick the 5/6 player on his list each time.

Football management is a piece of piss when you've got a crystal ball and can look into the future and see how players develop at a lower level. Then you can have utter spenks like Edwards, who barely understands the sport he's covering, throw shit like this back at you in public.

Mitrovic has been below par in the Premier League. There are probably mitigating circumstances, but he has it all to prove next year.

Totally unsurprising he's been used by a notorious bad faith actor to rile folk up though.

He’s not wrong though

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but none of them were good enough for NUFC at the time, Mitrovic had his chance in the Championship season, failed to get fit enough and ended up being outperformed by Darryl Murphy FFS.

Edwards is such an arsehole when it comes to Benitez.

Edwards is an arsehole. Was waxing lyrical about Benitez when he was here but is now undergoing revisionism on his time here. Still is defending his fat fucking fraud of a mate with cheap little digs and his article about how everyone should be rooting for Liverpool in spite of an earlier article that Man City don't deserve (similar) support in their pursuit of trophies underpins how little credibility he has as a football journalist.

It's low hanging fruit to rile the Twitter crowd. Same as anything:

Pro-Ashley

Pro-Bruce

Anti-consortium

Anti-Howe

Anti-Rafa

It is exhausting seeing the same accounts biting at absolutely everything too.
