sunderland in the EFL

Not be long before it'll be a decade outside the PL and yet they'll still be telling themselves they are massive and don't belong, it's just a blip, and all of football wants them back in the top flight for being canny lads.

The bitterness and jealousy has grown beyond manic, especially since the derby and rolling out the red carpet to their superiors. Easily the most damaging season since Burton relegated them to league one on Netflix.

Ballard and Clarke off in the summer, probably followed by anything that isn't nailed down. Bellingham blocking the progress of Rigg, who seems to be the better player already, and Rigg won't be hanging around making the same mistake twice. He'll be a decade long reminder of what was lost when he's winning games in the CL in his chosen B&W stripes alongside Miley, while telling themselves he's shite and a sellout.

Their future is glorious, for us anyway.

Didn't they have some sort of Friendly Cup with Norwich or something ridiculous like that?

Lost all their silly little clutching at straws cups now. The not been sports washed we'd never sell out cup, top dogs or last win (delete as applicable) award and now the friendly cup.

Still they at least have the 6 in a row and a couple of draws but in a slightly different order to the one we had 2001-2008 and never gave a second thought to cup.

The reality of course with this bit is there probably are a fair few fans of other teams who want them back in the PL, not because they think the mackems are canny lads but because it means they can have two nights out in Newcastle per season instead of one.

So they’ve lost “4 in a row” and have Leicester, Southampton and a resurgent QPR up next?

They’ve got quite a tough run in with Leeds and West Brom both away to play among others.

Unless they stop the rot they could end up in bother.

Theyre starting to see through their owner as well, but will no doubt get a takeover as soon as they want KLD out, despite them doing nothing but moan online to force him out. They seem to have had as many takeovers in recent times as we’ve had managers.

I really hope that Rigg is one of the youngsters we sign in the summer. The battering we gave them and then taking one of their best prospects would be a beautiful thing.

Added bonus of taking dirty Saudi blood money to improve their squad.

Those new electric Nissan Jewks won't build themselves marra. Turn up Radio Newcastle, I can't heyar how many the lads are getting beat by.

Leicester just playing with them here.

Good job they are out of the playoff contention now, if they went up they would be spat straight back out.

They surely can't pretend much more than 25000 tonight mind. Every other seat is empty almost

And that's in the lower sections. Imagine how empty upstairs is!
