Could have been worse surely, they could have been taken over by wealthy murdering Arabs. The new moral guardians of football should surely be welcoming this fan owned initiative ?

They’ll have their club back and it’ll have been paid for by pure, hard earned supporters cash.

It’s not about being rich for these lads, get the cans in Glendenning and Exile great day for the North East.

It’s funny because it’s them, but in all honesty, this kind of shit should be nowhere near football like.

Rubbish. Let's see how it turns out before we condem. :iamatwat:

Just caught up with this. This is a massive parting fuck you from the chancers to the kid as they leave him high and dry. Wouldn't be surprised if the Kid offers now or sells with them.

I'd love Sunderland fans to own Sunderland. They'd finally realise why that don't have money and are rarely good.

Someone's on there on about why do they never get rich owners. They were subsidised by Drumville and Short for nearly 10years and every time they seem on the brink somehow, someone is talked into helping out.

"The Fans Together is a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) dedicated to bringing sports fans together from across the globe to give them power and say in professional sports clubs. To achieve this goal, we The Fans Together are utilising the Tangle, a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) created by the IOTA Foundation to create a fast, free and frictionless way for Fans to engage with their sports clubs. Through our governance structure, fans will have a real say in their club’s operations. Anyone who owns at least one of The Fans Together’s $TFT tokens will be able to debate, contribute and ultimately decide, through votes and polls the direction of their sports clubs. Votes within the DAO are proposed by the TFT team and then token holders will be able to participate, deciding the outcome."

Some Reddit dweebs wanted to club together buy Redditch FC (gettit?) and put team selection, transfers etc to a vote of everyone who chipped in, but then the votes would have been linked to people, not tokens.

You know when someone hacks the Insta of Cool Ape Bros or whatever and phishes people into handing over all their monkey jpgs?  Does this mean if someone hijacks a load of $MackemTokens en mass they'd have a controlling vote share in club decisions?  Would be like when your mate goes for a piss and leaves Champ Man on and you deliberately fuck about with it. We could install Shola as SAFC Director of Football on a 20 year deal.
