If he joins them on a modest wage without any playing time guarantees then it would be a great move for Sunderland to get his experience in to help guide, mentor and set the standard for a very young team, and be there as an option on the bench/cover for injuries.

I’m told the derbies are scheduled for Saturday lunchtimes in October and February.

Tad ambitious for them to decide the TV games before both the PL and CL fixtures have been done.

Yep, their fewm when he moved to Saudi seems to have totally disappeared -funny that!

There'll be a load of Mackpedelling going on, to redact any such Fewm towards Hendo, just incase he does return.

Wonder if they'll dust off that little cart up at Ponteyland Airport, and start 'takkin owa' and selling their merch again up there?

Remember the last time we went down, too. They had the signs up there for the football club, stating "The only place to see Premier league football in the North East". [emoji38]

Funnily they didn’t rebrand when they were the only place in the North East to see League One football for four consecutive years…

It's not exactly us signing Beardsley in '93 is it?

This is more Andy Carroll returning levels.

It's more like us signing Beardsley now

Think Henderson would be a great signing for them: they've got a load of young players with little to no premier league experience so a guy like him would be brilliant around the squad, like Trips when he came to us. They've probably got plenty of good athletes to put around him to cover for his age. Plus it's nice to see people come back to their home town team to finish their careers. After all, the Dutch are relatively liberal, but even they probably wouldn't give him a free hand over the city's seagulls.

With the extra games on TV (mixed in with the shitty Police request), it's almost guaranteed that both derbies will be 12pm.

Just depends what day we play UCL whether it's a Saturday or Sunday midday kick off.

Said the same the other day - nailed-on early Sat or Sun - just hope that shitty bubble trip isn’t in place again!

I bet it will be - and it takes all the joy out of it.  I know it’s to avoid bother, but it’s sickening being stuck on coaches for hours to go a few miles down the road

Of course they’ll almost certainly be early ko. But when was the last time one wasn’t?

The Gullit one in the pissing rain? And only because it was midweek?

Ever since Barry Rogerson decided to bray Bud the horse all the other NUFC  fans have had to suffer the bullshit kick off times.

The Andy O Brien game was bizarrely 5.30 (5.15 maybe?) on a Saturday!
