Not a great set of results for them today, and not one draw in the 11 fixtures.

WBA, Norwich, Luton, Millwall and Blackburn winning was bad, obviously Coventry as well, as those were all within a few points (either side) of them before kick off.

Midtable Reading and Preston both beat sides near the bottom to move within range of them, so that's 8 poor results out of the 11 fixtures.

Burnley vs Huddersfield was pretty irrelevant as neither are anywhere near them at the respective ends of the table, and likewise there was only one point between Bristol C and Hull, so no obvious favourable result there.

Sheff Utd beating Watford was the only result that they would have been happy with.

But there is only one result they really care about and that is the one tomorrow

They'd accept relegation if it was guaranteed we would lose

Na, not quite that far, but if you lined up 1000 of them and gave them the choice of Sunderland and Newcastle both win, or Coventry and Man Utd both win, the vast majority would choose the latter.

I don’t really pay much attention to Sunderland and some of their stranger supporters but does Exile ever talk about Sunderland? I only ever hear about him in relation to us

He'd take Sunderland finishing 17th and Newcastle losing tomorrow, over them winning the Play-Offs and us winning tomorrow.

To any mackems logging on for a laugh. You's were League One for years and are begging the football Gods to give yous a chance of getting back into the Premier League. We're going to be in cup finals and Europe for the foreseeable so enjoy your laugh tonight and remember your kids will want to support Newcastle. PS. Get fucked.

Bloke next door wore a hitherto never seen all red jumper today when doing something with the car.

Benefit of the doubt. Until excited whoop whoops when Man United scored.

The only other time there's been a reaction to a goal next door was the Defoe game in about 2015.

There's a common denominator and its not their team.

Absolute no marks who won't grace the premier league for years to come.

The best, the VERY best, they can ever hope to be is a yo-yo team between the Premier League and the Second Division Championship.

AND that is the "very best" for them, in fact they are just as likely to remain as a permanent inhabitant of the Second Division Championship!

A very B L E A K future indeed, for them.

Maybe they will have a Dyche Burnley type season for a season or two.

But wouldn't be sustainable and be quickly relegated once more.

Class reading their forum where they're all FEWMING that we got such heavy press coverage of the Trafalgar Square takeover. All falling over themselves to say "WE DID THAT FIRST MARRA" - seems like London didn't notice and nobody gave a fuck when a bunch of troglodytes supporting a League 1 team arrived.

I suppose there's quite a heavy concentration of Chinese takeaways in London so most of them must have been behind there giving 15-year olds who "knew what they were doing" and "asked for it" two or three "bell ringers" as the Cockneys would call it.
