We lose to Chelsea at the weekend, 60 pages over 1000 posts and 30k of views gloating as if it's something to do with them left on the normal page.

We beat Chelsea last night and it's off to parsnip.

I don't know why they would do this, it's so small time.

Why have an online shame dungeon?

Absolute cowards

Starting XI approx costs last night

Newcastle - £253m

Chelsea - £443m

Said in the pre-match that their reserve side would cost double our first 11. Looks like I wasn't far out.

They're so pathetic it's actually quite funny. [emoji38]

That's made me laugh more than it should have.

That "weakened" Chelsea team would smash the best Sun'lun have to offer into next week!

Enzo Fernandez cost three times their club and all its assets.

The have just drawn to 2 lowly placed sides, albeit both away and one they were down to 10 men, but they are still averaging more than 2 points. Things can change, it's still early days, they could lose 3 on the spin and start questioning the manager and stuff, but as it stands, it's hard to see too many teams passing them. 8 points clear of 5th is good going at this stage.

West Brom drew 0-0 with Burnley tonight, their 6th draw in a row, and Burnley aren't exactly pulling up treess with 7 points from their last 6 games. Hopefully Leeds and Sheff U can put a run together, or keep that run in SU's case, as they probably do look the two most likely to potentially pass them. Maybe Middlesbrough, but they seem too inconsistent.

It's an absolutely dross league which appears to get weaker every season. Not one team have impressed me. Sheff Utd look half decent, Leeds go from the sublime to the ridiculous, Sunderland not pleasing on the eye but have been very clinical with their chance conversion rate and West Brom and Burnley are 2 teams who would send you to sleep.

I think it'll be a case of the 3 who come up will all go straight back down again, like last season. Gap is getting wider every year.

The vast majority of their games have been against teams in the bottom half of the table. Every time I see them play they have looked anything but table toppers and have been largely very lucky to win. This championship is the worst I have seen in years and the lack of quality very much noticeable.

I hadn't been paying attention to who they were playing and where their opponents were in the table but you're right, by my count it's 10 out of 14

If we were top of the league after 14 games and people were saying 10 out of 14 were against poor opponents we’d be saying they’re just idiots so why say it yourself?

In all fairness, they beat Burnley, and got a draw (lucky last minute equaliser) against Leeds, both of whom are this seasons favourites.

The question is always going to be if they can sustain it, but if you are playing badly, whilst wither being a man down, or losing one of your key players to suspension and can still get draws away from home, then you are still doing well.

Like I said, it will be down to if they can sustain it, and if they drop out of the top 2, how they respond.

I reckon 95% of Makams will be secretly dreading going into the premiership IF it ever happens, the decline, neglect & chancing owners have left them in a dreadful position financially, operationally & structurally.

With their loan players, Ballard, O'Nein & Co they will be a good bet to beat their record low points total (19) in my book, the idiots

I'd like to think I'd have more self awareness than that.

I mean, look at our first few games this season. The majority on here I'd say were happy with where we were but that we'd had some good fortune and the performances hadn't really been at the level we'd need to consistently keep picking up results.

At the same time 4 of their last 5 games have been away games and there’s only one team picked up more points than them in those 5 games. You can only beat the teams in front of you and after the way they finished last season to have a new manager come in and basically transform their defence so they’re keeping so many clean sheets regardless of the opposition is plenty for them to be happy about.

They weee second best in all those games though, as mentioned before their performances don't match the results. Let's see where they are in February as if they are still up there playing the way they are currently, then that division is really the pits
