Aye, just a family having a good time. People can be such shits.

Yep, complete cunts trick, DeludedOf can get to fuck with this one.  More than happy to laugh at the daft cunts on their forum talking about generational talents.

Taking the piss out of a family enjoying themselves on holiday is fucking lifting patter, embarrassing stuff from DeludedOf. They even missed the open goal to call it an 'eyevnin mayul'

Yes that’s why I mentioned them funnily enough - as exceptions. Tho both them are very vocal in their support for their clubs they don’t make every gig about the club - which by the way isn’t a critisism of Sam fender I love that he does that.

Is it every gig, or just the ones at St James'

I know (a little bit) one of those blokes. He’s a nice enough fella, so I’ll take the liberty of assuming the ‘bantz’ of that group isn’t as horrendous as it looks.

I know 2 of the people in this photo (husband and wife) they get in my local cricket club and they're both absolutely lovely people.

The lad has a lot to do with the junior cricket and does it all as a volunteer and his wife cooks the cricketers teas every Saturday, again, as a volunteer.

It's just some folk going for their dinner  I am all for the rights of street photographers to practice their art and I 100% believe that interesting pictures taken in public places are fair game (I got called out for it a few times on here for doing it myself), but this is literally just a picture personal to a small group of people and with zero journalistic or historical or artistic merit, that folk are being invited to laugh at. Deluded have missed the mark here like

I've deleted my comment. I should know better.

Bit weird how angry they’re getting about Sam Fender as I don’t remember any Newcastle fans being jealous when Sir Tommy and Britain First were having their weekly showcase events in Sunlun.

I honestly don't think they're taking the piss out of the people in the pic. It's more of a comment on the wearing of club tops/t-shirts when any Sunderland fan will tell you that only Mags wear club gear to go out to pubs, restaurants etc. They'll all say we wear our tops everywhere, for every occasion.  I mean it's all daft nonsense like.

Aye it's just a bit of an unpleasantly personal way to make that point, taking somebody's picture which was presumably just to share among friends and making it public.

The principle is absolutely bang on as ever  it's just a pretty poor way to demonstrate it (imo, it's nowt to do with me of course)

Aren't The Stranglers from Sunderland? Sorry would appear I've gotten them mixed up with Steven Grieveson

Close. Baz Warne is and he's been in the band for nigh on 20yrs now.

Mate at work is a Sunderland fan.

I’ve always made a point of not discussing our fortunes against them, or mentioning the derby in the 4 years I’ve known him.

Even when we beat them last season, not a peep, I even went into that game saying they’d beat us because that’s just what happens. Not a peep from me when we beat them. Even going into their play off final I was kind enough to say good luck to him.

He’s just sent me a video of when they beat us at SJP 25 years ago.

Exactly what I thought. One of their myths is that only Newcastle fans wear their shirts for non football match occasions, like being on holiday, and how its weird wrong etc. Thought I was missing something with all the aggression but apparently not.

Always thought the lead singer was a Geordie and the band were Smoggies for Maximo Park.

Because he pretended to be a Geordie for about a decade. They’re absolutely shite and he’s unbearably pretentious.

I live in north West Durham and its 11 miles to St james park from where I live.

It's 20 miles to the stadium of shite. Double the distance, but I should support my "local side" sunderland according to them.

But then anyone from Northumberland who supports sunderland is fair game and a dedicated massive lads fan.

Hilarious!

Yes, I'm Consett and can get to Newcastle in 25mins with a good run.

Out grandad and great grandads would've found it much easier to travel to Newcastle rather than Sunderland when football became organised.

Is the name "The Fountain" a nudge towards the pub in Consett? :)
