They really didn't. Professional teams don't throw games.

Granted their focus may have waned, but that's a bad sign at any level. It may have caused a downturn in performance, and that coming from a starting base of never beating anyone convincingly was enough to see them lose to teams in lowly positions.

Nor were they capable of instantly switching it back on when the important games returned. They struggled and were very lucky in all three play off games.

I stopped posting on the board quite a while back after defending our recruitment last summer, all of the replies just correlated to us being absolutely shite and how we would be lucky to stay up. I'm more than happy to hang around, have some crack and give opinions from my perspective, even more so now we are in the same league. It's pretty pointless though if there's not going to be any form of reasoned debate and all replies just compiled with innacurate nonsense.

Honest question, what do you think of your chances of staying up next season? Do you feel like your squad is anywhere near?

There's no point even judging it at this stage as the team at present is going to be nothing like the one that starts the season in 6 weeks time.

 

We need to recruit incredibly well to even have a sniff, The window so far however is showing promising signs.

You'll have to tell me which part of that, or anything else for that matter, is "inaccurate nonsense" ?

It's obvious you have red and white eyes, there's nothing wrong with that, but you need to develop thicker skin and stop being so sensitive id you're going to post on a Newcastle forum as a Sunderland fan.
