Whitley mag
They’re currently having a meltdown over private funding of Hollywood on the wear being pulled. They were sniggling away about the new arena running into difficulties and saying it should be built in chicken town instead. Reality check lads you’re a backwater and always will be. JLC
Come on fellas, having that film centre based in Sunderland would have been great for the North East. We need to move away from regional oneupmanship when it comes to these opportunities. What if this film thing ends up somewhere else in the UK and brings wealth to that region? Yeah, I prefer and applaud these game-changers arriving in Newcastle, but we need to applaud any major investment in the North East, regardless of location. We are a forgotten region. There's rivalry and there's realism about regional opportunities for all.

It, in part, takes a line from Dead Boys (what a song and relevant to all our ‘brothers‘ elsewhere in the North East, and elsewhere) ‘That’s our culture’ and turns it into a video short. Love it when Alex calls over Tino—could be a working men’s club near you or me at any time in the last century.

Chicken Dancer
Fair play to them for splashing some coin, wasn't sure they would but it's the only way to give yourselves a fighting chance. It's a big ask getting young, foreign players to come in and compete with the best in the world every week without any grace period to bed them in. Huge risk but fair play for taking it. I wonder how much they end up spending but they're well on track to spend over £150m +. Still a really poor side that needs a lot of work.
