So their 2 home friendlies pulled in a combined attendance of around 19,000 and our 2 home friendlies pulled in a combined attendance of around 83,000.

When it comes to support we're in completely different stratosphere tbh.

We always were - which is the daftest thing about them.  They actually have a decent size hardcore support, and should be happy with that; historically, their average gate is the 11th highest in English football - which means that they should be a solid top flight club.  The problem is that their neighbour's is the 5th highest in English football - which means we're a comfortably a bigger club (the difference in aggregate attendance is massive).  But that would mean admitting the obvious - so they hide their real attendances and make ridiculous excuses for themselves, despite no-one anywhere giving a shite.

I can see them having a decent amount of day trippers tbh.

There's a lad in our office who started following them off the back of the documentary. I think he's got plans to go over for one game.

How far is he travelling to watch that?

Might be miles off but I like some of Burnley's signings. A fair bit of PL experience in there.

Interesting to see how Xhaka goes from just being a cog in one of the best teams in the league at Arsenal & Leverkusen, to being the one they'll pin all their hopes on and look to for inspiration.

There's a bit of me wants all 3 to stop up just to shake the complacency of the Fulhams and Palace's of the league. They'd not so easy cuck for the cartel if they thought they'd be in trouble.

Can't have them staying up, as they're going to be in big financial trouble if/when they go down. Other two not bothered about

I think they will stay up.

I know some dont like to hear this but they are club that if they get momentum, they can bounce from one game to the next. They also have a home stadium which is capable of creating an atmosphere.

Theyve also spent shit loads across the board. You'd expect with that volume of signings, they'd be able to cobble together a side that can at least give them a punchers chance.

Theyve taken an almighty gamble though. If they go down, they are going to have major trouble getting rid of these players.

They won't care as long as he tries to kick lumps out of our players in the two derby matches, Marra. #FTM

I doubt it'll happen, but would be great if Burnley and Leeds managed to stay up, and these went straight back down. But maybe their owners are counting on it... marrashewt payments and all that.

Trans-Atlantic.

Lovely lad as well. There's a few in my office that have got into football and then try to plan a tour of England/Europe to see games.

Not a single fibre of my being wants Sunderland in the PL for a nanosecond more then they are

They have a favourable start to the season, so I really hpe they start slow. Their opening three games in context of survival is 9 points needed, with two of them (Burnley/Brentford) likely direct competition to stay up and West Ham at home which every side wanting to stay up has to look at 3 points. If by October Internationals they have say 4 points, they're fucked.

Their final 8 league games are very hard. No relegation battlers at home, which when you could be fighting for survival, are the ones you want.

I thought he was meant to be better than anyone in our midfield?

I've only just managed to get the last stains out of my duds after how much I shit myself when they signed him on loan
