Hold on. He said on here that he wouldn't hide. Also a fuckin liar then. Seriously though, they have just been beaten by a team that are going to be relegated. Where do you think sunderland are going to end up? I'm talking to you Teddy and safc. Well? Full of it last week weren't you both. Not hiding though.

Potter isn't their problem.

No, it’s years of bad investment. However Potters style won’t work with what he has to work with, if they chose to go ugly and pragmatic before it’s to late they could still be fine this year. They still have far more ability than Burnley or Sunderland.

The three promoted teams are defo my picks to go down again.

Sunderland til we lose, or it rains, or it's not particularly attractive opposition.

STWLOIROINPAO.

Sunderland will never die they've never lived that's the reason why

When Supermac scores a goal well stuff the red flag up ya hole

Sunderland are a load of shite well paint the red flag black and white

Childish I know but hey I'm getting a bit senile in my old age

He isn't the solution either, though. One-system manager who doesn't have the club's backing to sign players who fit that system.

The jury is still well and truly out on how good he even is with backing tbh. It's looking more and more like Brighton's insane recruitment around that period carried him to what was at best one good season (by their standards).

Could see that coming a mile off. We were poor, much like last season we struggle to break teams down when we’re asked to. Le Fee would have to be in the middle against said teams imo.

Some ambition in terms of signings, but you were relatively low scoring last year and doesn’t look like you have signed anyone who will help correct that.

See your point. Gap was always going to be massive and one could argue we had to spend what we did just to have a chance. Home form will be crucial.

I wasn’t too sold on Adingra, Talbi ie signings we’ve made in an attacking sense and was hoping Mayenda and Isidor had the attributes to be able to make a fist of it, both scored last week and Guiu looked alright yesterday if a bit raw.

Fingers crossed, I’m just trying to enjoy it.

Only one game but...

Think Xhaka is in for a shock playing in a side who'll be trying to protect games and not see much of the ball, rather than playing in one of the best teams in the league for the first time in years. Might have to get used to chasing shadows this season with poorer team mates around him.

Can’t wait to drop a fat bet on him going off in the derby. Contributes to their defeat but:

“Is a legend for leaving one on a dirty mag bastard”

“One of my top 10 moments supporting Sunderland”

So on and so forth.

The commemorative t-shirt will be a best seller.

He's probably already in their all-time 11

Aye mate, still here. Been abroad last few days so missed the match thankfully.

Shit result and a massive reality check for some of our fans who got carried away after the win last weekend.
