Proud to say I saw zero NUFC fans get the Ballard on the back of their shirt after he scored an OG and gave away a penalty the previous time we played them.

 

We are their lives but the feeling is never reciprocated to that level from our side. That simply comes with us being involved in Cup Finals and huge Champions League games. Sunday is always going to be as big as it gets for them.

Who gives a dusty fuck whether or not we’re liked?! It’s only them that seem to care about their fictitious football friends around the globe.
 

They seem more desperate to be liked by other clubs and to consider themselves morally superior to us (human rights activists since 2021 marra). As opposed to wanting to actually compete at the right end of the table/in the top league/Europe.

Can’t say I’m too bothered about them taking the piss about Woltemade’s goal because we’d be having a good laugh as well if the roles were reversed but he’ll be wearing that in a few months while everyone who has forgotten that turgid match, politely tells him that Woltemade doesn’t fucking play for them

The only thing worse than a sunderland fan is an Everton supporting sunderland fan.

Its not a "liked" issue l, its major club v lesser club. Unless Ive money on it I want Yeovil to beat Gillingham but want Gillingham to Birmingham but want Birmingham to beat Man City. I dont "like" any of them.

Thought I'd have a look at HT to see their reaction, absolutely no awareness. Set up like we did last week v Chelsea, they steamroller us and batter us. Set up like we did last week v Sunderland, 9 times out of 10 we're coming away with an uninspiring 0-0 at worst. Can't play this way 3 times in 7 days the thick cunts.

It's also complete bollocks this- the vast majority of neutrals (apart from Everton obviously) couldn't give a shiny shite about the outcome of the Tyne-Wear derby because they've got their own team to worry about. Nor are we especially disliked as a club outside of the bubble of wearside delusion or people who can't mentally separate the club from the owners. Anecdotally I know fans of other clubs (including Villa btw) who wanted us to win the derby.

 

These silly cunts think that streets everywhere are deserted as the whole country stops dead to watch it with red and white tops on and were probably expecting it to be referenced in the Kings christmas day speech.

In my experience of travelling around the UK and further afield people know about Newcastle and generally quite like the club and fans, and those who follow their club away, by and large, seem to love the place.

The macum MAGA slant that the world loves them (get applauded in and out of pubs iirc) and hates Newcastle is just their regular strange desire to be noticed and liked, while obsessing about Newcastle.

 

In the latest derby maybe they were favoured by many neutrals, but as a club who've spent most of their recent years playing in the third tier against a team in the Champions League, it's only to be expected that many neutrals will favour the underdog.

Yes that's my view as well. Just looked at the full table for the first time this season and saw that they've only scored four goals away all season, we have seven and are shit away. Only bottom Wolves have scored less than them with three.

For a newly promoted team they’re playing well and getting decent results. No point denying it. 

 

Last season they looked very tidy and were flying, then they dropped off a cliff in the 2nd half of the season and barely won a game until the play offs. 
 

Might happen again that they turn to to shit. Might not happen though, they could well keep this form going. 
 

Football’s a funny old game.

Surprised at all the empty seats there today. Looked like a few thousand. Usually this time of year is where clubs get their biggest gates. Officially it was only 500 less than what they had against us, in reality nowhere near.

 

Atmosphere made our place sound like La Bombanera as well (they're complaining about that on RTG, excuses ranging from being on a Sunday, being Christmas and Dan Ballard not playing).
