Harry 209
The definitely not obsessed with us RTG now have about 300 posts on our owners since last night and a new one started on Anthony Gordon this morning has over 100 already - more than any of the threads about their own activities, in their best ever season. They literally talk more about us than themselves in their best ever season. Definitely not obsessed.
pinkeye
Anyone watch their game yesterday? Villa sitting very comfortably until they brought on Jadon Sancho who absolutely fucked up twice in two minutes to allow Sun'lun back into the game late on. I can imagine the state of the Villa forums after that!!
Pilko
I was at Ponteland airport yesterday, sat at the gate and there was four mackems stood round a phone watching the game, all suddenly started going mental and one shouted "it's 3-3". All back slapping and delighted and happy with themselves etc. Stood on the steps boarding the plane and the same lads were a few people behind me still watching, what I heard was "This could be 4-3 this, he's in, ah what a save!" *twenty seconds later* "Ah fuck"

Positive comments every time they got up for a piss? Neutrals or people with no interest in football commenting how pleased they were they beat Newcastle? I offer my commiserations for today's result, you fought admirably with courage in your hearts and with defiance in your eyes and even as a Villa fan myself, I wanted you to win because your fans were excellent and deserved to go home happy, easily the best set of fans we've ever had in Villa Park, the Mags were nothing but trouble. I'd also like to take this opportunity to personally offer my gratitude to all connected with Sunderland for defeating the sports washed, gravy stained, horse punching forces of darkness. You didn't just win 3 points that day, you won for football and you captured the hearts of all those who seek truth and justice in the world and to that, I thank you. So on behalf of myself and the entire crew, thank you for bringing that special Mackem magic on board with you. You’ve turned this flight into something truly special. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight because today, the sky belongs to the red and white! Ha'way the Lads and safe travels, my marras. Captain out." The whole plane gave them a standing ovation. Geogaddi
A fair few of them were turning on him before the playoffs last season and even again this season they were asking questions about him before they won at our place. Despite him giving them the best 2 seasons they have had in about 20 years he does get a fair amount of stick and isn't as universally loved as you would expect when you look at how well he has done for them. Not sure why, can only presume its the style of football they play. A combination of winning both the derby games and being above us has kept the masses happy but if they are midtable or struggling again next season you can guarantee they will soon turn on him. I don’t disagree that some fans have questioned him last season and this season, but isn’t that the case for every club? Even yourselves with Eddie Howe. A lot of Newcastle fans seem to be questioning him, but the general consensus from fans of other clubs is that he’s done an excellent job for you. All managers in the prem are questioned at one point or another, except maybe Pep at City.

Go back to that run they had last season where they had something like 1 win 11 and there were loads of questions, especially when he was violently scratching his own face/head

Le Bris has achieved more than any other Sunderland manager in about 30 years and is giving you the best season you have had for about 20 years, all that after getting promotion that nobody expected either. I don't understand why anyone would question him really.
