BlueStar Posted yesterday at 12:25 Share Posted yesterday at 12:25 Is there any awareness that if you look at RTG at the same time period you'd find lots of the posters on there talking about how it's a major trophy and definitely not a Micky Mouse cup, and how much they'd love to win it? If any of our lot were sad enough to be bothered?

et tu brute Posted yesterday at 12:47 Share Posted yesterday at 12:47 So it's now down to trawling old threads and posts on here for their comfy blanket. I've seen the lot now, it hasn't only broken them it's absolutely crushed them

THE SHAME Tongue in cheek Other than quotes from BrettNUFC which were disagreed with by all, every other quote they’ve used was sarcasm or in jest, but being played off as sincere. Particularly enjoyed them using one where it was claimed we would rather be NETD rather than win that cup, with a ‘marra’ chucked in to really emphasise that it’s mocking them, but now being relayed as a factual view from us as fans. They’re truly broken by all this.

Andy Posted yesterday at 13:21 Share Posted yesterday at 13:21 Mackems digging up old posts are genuinely mental, this has tipped them over the edge. Beside, Europa Conference League is a "mickey mouse" trophy, relative to the CL, doesn't mean I wouldn't fucking love to win it and wasn't jealous of West Ham fans enjoying it a few years back. The Trophy Celebration Police in general are bizarre. I've seen this mentality on various forums. If fans can't enjoy and go completely overboard about winning a trophy, why even bother watching the sport?

At it's core this is what the beauty of football is all about. I feel sorry for those who cannot understand this.
pinkeye Posted yesterday at 14:18 Share Posted yesterday at 14:18 I think the ones that are mocking the massive celebrations that took place at the weekend are simply masking the fact that they know that they would never get such a reaction from their own set of fans for winning a trophy of any kind. It is masking their own pure jealousy that we have such an amazing support that are prepared to come out and celebrate with the team. Whether the Carabou Cup is devalued by so called top teams is somewhat moot, I didn't feel that Forest, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all lay down for us to progress and ultimately win the whole thing! Wallsendmag Posted yesterday at 14:47 Share Posted yesterday at 14:47 (edited) See these desperate cunts are currently emailing schools across North Tyneside offering £5 tickets for their upcoming home game with Swansea. Meanwhile I was queue number 66,000 odd when I tried to get a ticket for the Man Utd game last week. The gap between the 2 clubs has never been so wide, and that includes their 5 3rd Division seasons, and they've just got to stand there and watch it all unfold without being able to do a thing about it. Noticed the huge crowds at Durham station on Saturday went down like a lead balloon with them as well. They just can't handle the fact that their future core support is being eroded away to nothing. Also, let me get this straight. Newcastle fans from South Tyneside/Durham=Bad. MLFs from Billingham/Boro=Good? I was laughing so much at their "Crossed the Wear to support the Mags" shite or whatever it was they were in meltdown about I was half-tempted to open an account on there to point out that from most of Durham you do not in fact need to cross the Wear to get to Newcastle, but thought better of it

gdm Posted yesterday at 15:38 Share Posted yesterday at 15:38 (edited) They really are struggling to cope over there at RTG. “all this fuss over the league cup” what they know deep down and can’t admit to themselves is this is just the start for us.
