Looks to have been confirmed overnight by opponents that Newcastle are off to Japan for two games. 31/7 against Urawa Reds and 3/8 against Yokohama F.Marinos

Definitely our hotel chef while over there taking out 16 players with food poisoning for the new season.

Not much of a break for those players on International duty this summer. Perhaps those players won't be taking part in this tour?

I'm thinking about Gordon and Bruno mainly as they have the highest chance of getting deep in their respective tournaments. But Schar could also get alot of game time.

"For any pre-season tour, our aim is to support the needs of our teams during this crucial period and the players will train and play at elite facilities in Japan. We are continuing to work collaboratively on our overall pre-season schedule and hope to announce additional matches in the UK and Europe soon."

Sounds like there'll be even more travelling in addition to the quick hops to Japan and Australia.
