STM
Knowing Eddie Howe he won't play the starting 11 on the final pre season game. He likes to keep an element of surprise. That said, there aren't that many decisions to be made, as things stand; Pope Trippier Schar/Burn Botman Targett Bruno Shelvey Joelinton Fraser Wilson ASM

Top four here we come.

nbthree3
https://www.newcastleworld.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/mainz-coachs-response-amid-newcastle-united-friendly-backlash-3754435 United will face former Intertoto Cup opponents 1860 Munich on at the Saalfelden Arena on Friday 15th July before facing Mainz at the Kutstein Arena three days later. The latter fixture has received criticism from Mainz supporters who are said to be unhappy with the Public Investment Fund’s majority interest in the Magpies and the well publicised human rights concerns in Saudi Arabia. Quoted in German outlet Bild, Danish coach Svensson admitted he had sympathy with the concerns but used PIF’s stake in Disney to defend the arrangement of the fixture. He said: “On the one hand, I can understand the arguments. “Whenever it comes to football, things become very inflated and become huge issues. “How far are we going? Will we also then ban Disney films with our children?”

Magpie
£20 for adults and £10 for concessions. £35 and £15 for both games. Bit steep for friendlies imo Edited July 4, 2022 by Magpie

Coffee_Johnny
Given the level of interest/excitement at the mo, I’d be surprised if the £35/£15 cost for both games didn’t see both being sold out.

Bit steep for friendlies imo Bit disappointing and will be interesting to see the feedback but I guess there will be those who missed out on STs willing to buy them at that price. Would seem to suggest that will be the price going forward for early rounds of the cups. Understand normal circumstances probably predictable but with the cost of living crisis etc I was thinking it be £15 adults and £5 for a kid. Guess we find out if we need an 85k stadium or not ? Miggys First Goal
Cost of living crisis? What cost of living crisis? £10 for adults and £5 for kids would have been a nice gesture. Oh well.
KaKa
£35 and £15 for two games seems a pretty sweet deal like. I imagine the atmosphere will be so chill and fun with how things are coming along, and it will be pretty sweet to seethe new signings early on, and maybe some of the youngsters that have been promoted to the first team recently. That Westendorf kid seems to be doing well. He should get some playing time, along with Elliott.
Miggys First Goal
Can't wait until Eddie puts this team out on the Friday evening. Darlow Dummett Clark Lascelles Manquillo Hendrick Longstaff 1 Longstaff 2 Murphy Shelvey Gayle

Guest neesy111
Wonder if the reason for no US tour is because they aren't allowing unvaccinated people in, suspect that will be affecting most clubs.
Guest neesy111
Yeah those prices are too steep especially if they wanting to get families going to the games when you include transport, food etc it becomes a hell lot of money.
Miggys First Goal
For comparison... Quote Jürgen Klopp’s men will also come up against French side Strasbourg at Anfield on Sunday July 31, kick-off 7.30pm. Tickets will be available to buy on pre-sale from Tuesday June 21, with adults priced at a flat £27 across the stadium, over 65s at £20 and all under 16s free of charge.
