He's been shit at City versus what's been paid for him. Only good for getting hacked down for free kicks.

I really rate Grealish like, think he’s just taking time to settle in, that happens with city players then they ascend to greatness.

  hahahahaha. Just wanted to provoke some good reactions. One you prob will agree with R9 >>> -Chron

Depends, at their peak and potential R9 is the only one remotely close to Messi (Ronaldinho was perhaps more entertaining but Messi and R9 had it all). However, Cristiano's longevity is ridiculous and he's an absolute machine still so I can agree with both sides.

So we've seen Modric, Rooney, Alonso, Scholes, Salah and even fucking Cristiano Ronaldo in this thread.

Holy smokes.

Remember Messi wouldn't have been a ballon d'Or winner if he had came to PL and had to face up against Stoke and Huddersfield also.

04 and 05 was under Sounes? That would make sense. 03/04 the year we finished 5th and was that final season for Robson? Can't remember well enough Jenas being shitter in 2nd season but it all went shitter under Souness.

He was poor in Robson's last season, it started with that pen Vs Chelsea in the Asia cup.

DeBruyne He’s world class but I’ve seen people talking about him being better than the likes of Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard etc which I don’t think he is. Thiago is better aswell imo.

He's better than all of them combined.

You dropped Beckham tbh, a spicy one but yeah it’s going pretty good for some controversy. If anyone says Shearer im deleting though.

I think Ronaldinho at his peak (short as it was) was the greatest footballer I’ve ever seen. He could do things nobody could do, Including Messi.

Has Mason Mount been mentioned in here yet? He'd good player, and scores some important goals, but not sure about his overall game.

Controversial maybe, but I think Ba is overrated among Newcastle fans. A good all-rounder, but I never thought he was as amazing as some talk about him.

Think he's only talked about as amazing as everyone thought he would be terrible(yes you did!)....free, potential exploding knee, not having a superb record. Turns out he was pretty damn good for us, whether that was a big purple patch or not.

Too add my own Pulisic. He seems shite for 4 games and then has one decent game. Not a top level player.

No surprise that I’ll defend him  but he’s got what, 12? goals + assists while mostly coming off the bench this season. Made of glass though. When healthy he makes the starting XI for every PL club save Liverpool and City. Tuchel also likes to play him up top, where he’s wasted. Would probably benefit from a move elsewhere.

I rate Pulisic. Needs to move though, would have him here in a heartbeat

I've often seen him mentioned as having everything, the best forward we've had since Shearer, in the Mike Ashley XI, that sort of thing. All fair enough like, he just never struck me as being that impressive, I was just much more into Carroll or Remy.

Aye but Ronaldo? At worst second best player of all time.

De Bruyne and Scholes are at worst in the top five midfielders in PL history surely. De Bruyne the best for me.

I loved Remy, he just had that killer about him. Like Benzema. His style of play was very easy on the eye as well, great player
