They seem to suggest the survey is a bit one sided, and doesn't include a 'No change' vote or option. Absolutely butchered process. When will the club hire an actual chief communications officer? Ideally somebody who knows what they’re doing.

JigsawGoesToPieces
Sounds like what the club have done is not compliant with FA rules.

Presumably as they said because they need to satisfy the "the club must evidence that the majority of the supporters are in favour of a material change to its club crest prior to making any such changes" Has there been any vote about this? TK-421
2 minutes ago, Optimistic Nut said: Why would they put a "no change" option when it's clear that's not going to happen? As the reply above, seems under the FA rules, the crest is a material change, and there are certain rules on the vote for change, the club seemingly haven't done.... one of which would be an option for no changes. maybe_next_year
I mean it can't be any worse a launch than this, can it? At least if we use the word 'legacy' and 'tradition it will actually mean something . Still, maybe they're onto something, hope our designers somehow incorporate a reference to Swan House or even Blue House roundabout.
Ronaldo
I’m amazed so many people care this much about a badge, mind. Who gives a shit? The club isn’t being renamed.
cubaricho
I think this is great timing by the club. We’re on this massive ascendency and a new crest will be the visual symbol representing the turning of the page of the time that we never looked back. Weezertron
I love the current badge. Had the wallpaper in my room as a bairn, on the duvet. Everywhere. however, if its gonna change I don’t mind because the current badge will go down as THE badge, I reckon. It’ll be back in 10 years or so as a special release or something. If I owned the club, I wouldn’t change it.
nemtizz
It'll be shit whatever they go with because it's change. As much as I love the current badge I just don't care enough.
Amir_9
Love the current badge but honestly it is dated. No reason why something newer can't be done that stays true to the black and white/magpie/local roots.

Chris_R
How about this nice, simple, clean design? As well as being simple and clean, it also features a gentle nod to our new ownership structure.
Thomson Mouse
Just no, leave it alone. It's a perfect blend of the city crest and the football club.
Mazzy
I think the timing of the announcement is odd. Other than that I think it's the right thing to do and I'm not even slightly upset or angry about it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of the ridiculous things being spouted around online since this was announced is beyond reality. Shadow Puppets
I don’t have too much of an issue with a slight change. I’d prefer not too, but if it’s just a slight freshen up, then I don’t really care too much.

I can see why they're doing it. and there is room for multiple brand assets in the modern age. so hopefully the current iteration of the badge is still used in some capacity. that's how they should approach it. Well said. Need a version I can draw for my 6 year old without him thinking less of me.
