Guest
The "two Danish players coming in on trial" was interesting...I know Schmeichel had a trial here once upon a time. EDIT: Think it was later than that. Guessing Kristensen was the other one?
Guest chicken little
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg1rD2I4v_M ace that, cheers. pretty much my first half-formed memories of my dad telling me about the football, based on what he'd get out of copies of the pink and the occasional issue of the mag that his brother would post down. it really puts it into perspective that the hall/shepherd years were a fucking golden age. whilst all that was going on i found some virtue in having seen us absolute shite, without paying much attention to the reality that newcastle united being run really fucking badly by clueless, disengaged twats was pretty much the historical norm. Paully
Still no date for Spurs away! FFS! So our match which was supposed to be on March 16th still hasn't been rearranged yet Brighton's match which was supposed to be on April 21st has been! SteV
Still no date for Spurs away! FFS! So our match which was supposed to be on March 16th still hasn't been rearranged yet Brighton's match which was supposed to be on April 21st has been! It does seem bizarre that it's taking so long. As .com point out it has to be some point between Tue 1st May and Thur 10th May. Not that that really helps anyone trying to plan.
Guest
https://twitter.com/NewcastleFansTV/status/979457332064210946 We'd be 8th or 9th with someone like him or Ba in this team without a doubt.

So our match which was supposed to be on March 16th still hasn't been rearranged yet Brighton's match which was supposed to be on April 21st has been! I'm guessing this is because we're playing Arsenal on the 15th on sky, so couldn't play on the 17th. Bournemouth v Man U is on BT on the 18th, so couldn't have our match v Spurs on sky the same night? So yet again our fans suffer for TV!
Figures 1-0 Football
"As a gesture of goodwill", Everton have provided £5 gift vouchers to all home supporters who had bought tickets for Newcastle's visit to Goodison Park before that game was rescheduled at the behest of Sky. Pathetic.

Altamullan
13 games in 2018. Won 5 Drew 5 Lost 3. The losses, all away, to Man City, Chelsea, & Liverpool. Makes us look a decent team. Scored 16 Conceded 15, detracts from that conclusion a little bit.

joeyt
One of my favourite games that, actually forgot about Shearer telling the ref not to send Parlour off. SBR's face after the 2nd and 3rd goals is magical

Cabaye at the weekend was a fucking disgrace wanting Mane sent off or this play booked.

Guest Howaythetoon
That’s not our Andy O’Brien is it? She’s punching if so... How did people rate him btw? I always wanted Hughes in ahead of him who I loved and obviously Bramble had insane ability for a CB but was thick as shit. O’Brien was a steady eddy and I’m sure he would rock up at training in some shitty banger and lived in a normal semi while the likes of Shola’s crib was being robbed by party people. Ah, fucking good days to be following our mad club back then like. Felt like we were on the verge of something special and then along come Abramovic... Heron
He used to drive a BMW that was like 1w years old and turn up to training in jeans with holes in and flares like a hippy sorta style. Was proper funny. Then like you say the hummers and that would roll up with little twats like Kieran Dyer.

I was only young at the time, so my recollection of events may not be that good. However I feel that our defence was the weakest aspect of the squad, the likes of O’Brien, Hughes, Griffin et el were not as good as the rest of the squad. Bernard was great, but everyone else in defence was rubbish, well not rubbish but standard Premier League players back then when the rest of the squad was one of the better teams. Had we have a defence to match the rest of the squad then we might have taken that final step and won something, even if it was just through a cup run. Put our defence now in that team and we would probably have won something.
