Beardsley says Cole is the best striker he played with.

Surprised if he's said that but Beardsley has form for saying strange things from time to time. Shearer, Ferdinand, Lineker and Rush were all far better strikers than Andy Cole for starters.

41 goals in a season man, come on.

Benefitted massively from having the most unselfish player ever playing in the same team and supplying the bullets for him. Couldn't even manage a goal every other game after he left despite playing in arguably the best team in the world at the time.

Scored 11 brilliant goals for NUFC and 57 tap ins courtesy of Beardsley. Ferdinand and Shearer who came in after he was sold were far superior players.

He was a right huffy twat as well.

What a load of bullshit.

Ferdinand and Shearer were far better players. Only an idiot would disagree.

Shearer was better than everyone.

Aye, says Cole knew exactly whether Beardsley would take a touch before playing him in, or whether he’d play it first time so would time his runs perfectly.

Cole was absolutely unreal in his time here and anyone saying otherwise is thick as pigs s***. Beardsley also had one of his highest scoring seasons (if not the highest) playing alongside Cole. It wasn’t all down to Beardsley, it was because they had a lethal partnership. If you couldn’t see that either then you are also thicker than whale spunk.

Shearer yes. I’d put Cole ahead of Ferdinand both in terms of their time here and in their career. Cole was still banging in 1 in 3 late on in his career with the likes of Blackburn, Man City & Fulham. Ferdinand faded when he left us.

Robert’s posted a picture of some French countryside on his Instagram with the words ‘like Heddon on the Wall’ with black and white hearts. :smitten:

What were his brilliant 11 goals btw?  That's a very specific number.

Probably because he formed that opinion based on analysis of his goals, as opposed to guestimation, nessy.

It's even more of a valid question then. What were his brilliant 11 goals? Should be easy to answer after the analysis already done.
