Lets not forget the "What do you expect Steve Bruce do when he's given players as useless as Joelinton, Longstaff and Schar to work with?" comments.

And almiron, Wilson and Murphy. Of course these have all been replaced by big money signings apparently.

He also kept Joe willock on the bench...

Peter Silverstone with insightful commentary on the TF Podcast. Basically said that Commercial side of things will take time to catch up with the on-field success, with a tiny team covering a number of positions each.

Both him and Eales reiterated where ever we finish next season, the club will be in a better place.

Been wondering why for such a footballing-obsessed city, we don’t really have any murals in the city centre dedicated to NUFC? Just thinking of cities like Liverpool, there’s absolutely loads of their players, Leeds has a few as well.

We despised the club until a year ago TBF.

There is/was one in that side street that leads from Northumberland St to the library.

Would love to see some big more visible ones though.

There’s one or two in Gateshead but agree the more the merrier.

Not seen much analysis between our better seasons in the Premier League. So thought I’d do a comparison between our top six Premiership/League seasons. Best/highest three stats  (not sure whether high draws are good) shown in gold, silver and bronze. Last season was ‘on the podium’ for 8 of the criteria—equal to 95-96, both topped only by 95-97. Interestingly, relatively speaking last year we scored more and conceded less than our best season (points total and football) to date.

The U11 girls Premier League Primary Stars team got to play at Elland Road in Monday in the finals. Won 3 out of 4 but missed out on GD to Man U.

Best thing is that they travelled on the 1st team bus and had personalised strips. Absolutely fantastic.

The 95-96 season was 38 games.

The pts per game has been calculated as a 38 game season, but things like GF per game is based on 42. It should be 1.73 not 1.57.

GA per game should be 0.97.

Not a huge difference obviously, as we still outscored the 95-96 season and conceded less and it really shows how well we did last season.

Thanks for noticing. It was just the last two cells on the 95-96 column—as you say because I had left 42 as games played (the seasons were originally in date order). Corrected now:
