On thing is sure, Trafford wouldnt have been benched all the time behind Pope. So we wanted to upgrade but in the end we didnt. I think Pope taken us as far as he can.  But he is not good enough for where we want to go. Problem is I dont rate Ramsdale much. He has blunders in him under pressure that is why Arteta upgraded on him in the past.

Should have been dropped after West Ham. Makes some decent stops but it’s pretty pointless when it’s undone by soft goals.

If he’s going for that throw in today he needs to make sure he’s getting there, was so many bodies it was brainless and he should have just stayed on his line.

Said the same to my son after the equaliser.

All the good saves he might make become a bit pointless, if he's making mistakes and/or questionable decisions (punching instead of catching) that lead to and cost us goals, and ultimately points.

If Ramsdale gets a chance now, enforced or otherwise, its up to him to take it and make the place in the team his own.

Trafford is losing out on the WC next year by his choice of transfer. Bet he's thrilled.

Also, got to ask how many of these apparent top saves you wouldn’t expect any other keeper to make? Can only thing of one against Arsenal in the first half. Counteracted by the appalling winner they scored.

he's served the club really well but I think it's time to give Ramsdale a run in the team

like when Dubs came in last season and his composure and passing made the team look better

can't pull all the blame on Pope as they were shambolic perofrmsnces all round, but against Wham and Brentford the team has lost valuable 0-1 leads due to his blunders

his punching / decision making and kicking seems to have become more of a liability recently

granted he still makes excellent saves but feel like Ramsdale deserves a chance now

Don’t think Ramsdale is the long term answer, but I’d give him a run now.

There is no logical reason for Ramsdale not to be starting against City but I am not convinced Eddie will drop Pope.

I agree he deserves a chance, I don’t think it’s a massive difference in quality whoever plays though.

I think Nick is a phenomenal shot stopper - one of the best in the league. But he's poor at just about everything else.  Ramsdale whilst not being as good a shot stoppers, is a better all round keeper - imo.
