Got an email from NUFC about an hour ago saying the Chelsea ballot was open. Gone on the website, clicked Ballots and just get a message saying there are no ballots currently open.

Got sorted eventually after a prompt telling me I needed to log in on a desk top rather than my phone. First time that's happened.

So the govt are going to ban the reselling of tickets at above face value.

 

Be interesting to see how the ban is implemented and policed. 
 

Impossible to completely eradicate touting, but if they can shut down the reselling sites (don’t know if they can given they’re mainly based overseas) then that’d be a start.

I’ve always said the only way to make a real significant, lasting dent in the tour market, was government intervention.

 

Like you say, far easier said than done, but they’ve had a decent crack at shutting down illegal streaming, so if there’s the same determination with this, they should be able to make inroads.
