Was there a website which covered who the current Premier League champions are if the mechanic was like a boxing title?

Feel like it’s a thing.

Was definitely a thing for the World Cup winners. Not sure about PL winners though.

Cheers.  Something to do when I have a few hours spare I guess...

What’d be the criteria? First title holders being whoever beat Leeds first during the 92/3 season? I’m not getting to sleep any time soon.

If that’s how it works, the first winners were Boro.

I literally have nothing better to do.Sorry if I’m ruining your fun Sima. Number in brackets = how many title reigns they’ve had.

MIDDLESBROUGH 4-1 Leeds (1, 1)

SOUTHAMPTON 2-1 Middlesbrough (1,1)

NORWICH 1-0 Southampton (1,1)

BLACKBURN 7-1 Norwich (1,1)

Blackburn 0-1 TOTTENHAM (1,1)

Tottenham 1-2 CHELSEA (1,1)

Chelsea 2-4 MAN CITY (1,1)

Man City 0-1 ARSENAL (1,1)

Arsenal 0-1 LIVERPOOL (1,1)

SOUTHAMPTON 2-1 Liverpool (2,1)

MAN UTD 2-1 Southampton (1,2)

OLDHAM 1-0 Man Utd (1,1)

NORWICH 1-0 Oldham (2,1)

WIMBLEDON 3-0 Norwich (1,2)

OLDHAM 6-2 Wimbledon (2,1)

LIVERPOOL 1-0 Oldham (2,2)

NORWICH 1-0 Liverpool (3,2)

Title reigns 1992/3 season.

3 times: Norwich

2 times: Liverpool, Oldham, Southampton

1 time: Arsenal, Blackburn, Chelsea, Leeds (as reigning Champions) Man City, Man Utd, Middlesbrough, Tottenham, Wimbledon

Before I go further, is that what you mean, and also, if a reigning champion gets relegated, what happens? Does it follow on down the league (eg, Norwich drew 3-3 last game with Boro, if Boro had won that, would the title have dropped down to Division One with them?)

Might still do a ‘Football began in 1992’ version. Still the issue with what to do if a champion goes down.
