Doctor Zaius Posted Friday at 12:17 Share Posted Friday at 12:17 Think we'll get Pedro. He wants off and Brighton are happy with him to go for the right price. I think Elanga is more important to Forest than he is to us, and as such our valuations wont be met. Hopefully we dont overpay. I think we'll come to and agreement for Trafford too - Burnley will take the money and fancy themselves to replace him.

Think Elanga will be the sacrificial lamb if one needed to make the deals happen.

I think this is a player who is definitely at the top end of what we could realistically hope to attract this summer, it would be an incredible signing imo. He just opens up so many options for us in terms of formation and tweaks in style. Most of us probably expect him to play behind Isak which is going to be lethal in a 4-2-3-1. Skeletor Posted Friday at 16:31 Share Posted Friday at 16:31 Hope we get Pedro and Trafford as they'd make a big difference to how we play. I don't think Elanga makes a difference to how we play but would make the overall squad stronger. But I wouldn't be upset if we moved on from Elanga. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder: Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno Don't we have an official tie-in with StatsBomb? Yeah, really hoping we can tie this one up. Because of the option to play him in that 10 position behind the striker, it then also indirectly improves our midfield options. And so if Willock and Longstaff are still here, and not at their best, we at least have a different setup to go with.

Yeah it would give us the option to go 4-2-3-1 or 5-4-1 as opposed to reverting to 5-4-1 no matter the opposition. For instance the Everton game I am sure we would have gone to a 4-2-3-1 with Joelinton out if we had the option of someone with the quality of Joao Pedro

A 4-2-3-1 is very interesting as ideally you would want 1 more midfielder for rotation given volume of games In the 2 Bruno Tonali (Big Joe) (Miley) Longstaff Willock sold 10 Pedro (could do with 1,more who can also play CM) Wide Barnes Gordon Murohy Elanga CF Isak (J Pedro) (Osula)

Robbo2 Posted Friday at 17:41 Share Posted Friday at 17:41 I think we'll get him, but Brighton are clearly one of the hardest clubs out there to buy from. Good at holding on for absolute fortunes the bastards

Maybe someone like Chukwuemeka (although he appears to be staying at Dortmund) that can fill in and hopefully decelop into a solid option over the course of the season
