Personal hunch is that Pedro happens, Elanga doesn't. Seems both Brighton and Pedro are wanting to make a deal happen this Summer. Initial figure may be high, but should mean negotiations are a little easier.

Don't see Forest wanting to sell Elanga at all.

Yeh Pedro wants the move and has seemingly made enemies at the club.  So the will is there.  And probably means a fairer fee than other players.

We simply must sign a RW, seriously. I don't want to see Gordon and Barnes starting together ever.

Another window without a RW [emoji38] Its not going to happen again so im relaxed.

Forest have more PSR headroom than us according to the athletic.

Not necessarily true given we have CL money next season and they don't - and generally more commercial income.

He can play on the wing as well, right?

He could play on the right but it would be an entirely different player to Murphy and it wouldn't be an orthodox winger.

That said, his first touch and ability to drive into space is pretty good, from what I've seen.

I am well on board with getting this transfer done, think he would be a brilliant signing and has room to grow even more, especially playing with the likes of Isak, Bruno, Tonali and Gordon. Only concern is his discipline, but who wouldn't want a pop at Van Hecke, the man is a tosser! The attempted elbow this season is the big concern for me, couldn't believe he didn't get a big ban for that.

I would love to see Pedro and Madueke as our two attacking signings, although you are getting two potentially questionable attitudes through the door.

Tbf, there’s been some real questionable moments with our other two Brazilians where they could have got a ban, Joelintons clothesline from hell for example.

I can’t say I recall a level headed Brazilian in the premier league apart from maybe Allison but he’s a GK.

Part and parcel.

It’s the attitude off the field what counts most

Called it. I can totally see him signing a 6 year deal on mega bucks at Chelsea mind.

You called Chelsea being interested in a player?

Well done, they're not interested in many players these days so great call pal.

Who knows with Brighton but if they want him chances are he’ll turn out decent.

Kostoulas is only 18. Wonder if they'll be binning off Evan Ferguson and who'd buy him.

Ferguson's stock has fallen away too much for Chelsea I feel. In fact, he'd be quite a Newcastle signing, if we didn't already have Osula sitting on the bench most games.

Apropos of all this, I have a suspicion that if we are really interested in Pedro - he'd come in as a No 10, "locksmith"-type of player in a 4-2-3-1, we would forego signing a right-sided forward, and next season would be Osula's "Lewis Hall breakthrough" season on the right.[emoji38]

Would love to see JP here and Big Willie to come good.

Have I remembered this incorrectly but was there something a bit noncey going around about Pedro at the time he signed for Watford or Brighton? [emoji38]

When he was at Watford (18yo) he was seeing a 15yo. (Legal age of consent is 14 apparently in Brazil)

Anyone a bit suss that this has come out sooo early?

The 2 players that have come out into the public just so happen to be the 2 players we know we've bid for in the past.

Not saying we're not interested they're about the safest story any journo could go with.
