Even taking away the animosity and the way it ended here, which version of Isak would we be getting back? At this stage it would likely be the disinterested, fragile one. Hard pass.

I miss the version of Isak which set the world alight, but I'm not sure that version exists anymore, he's been corrupted beyond repair.

He will see out his contract at Liverpool often injured and draining them of £300k+ a week in wages, and it's just what they will deserve.

Would you take him back for £50m? (And in this scenario Wissa goes to Saudi for the same price)

Where's he gonna get the 50m?

Absolutely no chance, bridges are completely burnt on both sides.

100%.

Can't believe this is even a conversation.

If he hadn't left like such a cunt there'd be comedy value in signing him back on a free years later like Carroll. Can't believe it's even being hypothetically talked about like.

Beardsley was my first thought, he was even better the second time around.

I don't want to see Isak back though, we surely have better options given the time to scout the right player and make the deal (i.e. not like last summer)

Isak is done now, I think that leg break has finished him, however, with the way he left, not a chance. Like your missus going off and banging the local crack dealer after telling you how much she hates you, move on.

Mark McGhee was probably the most improved returnee

McGhee was class when he came back. Beardsley was just world class when he was here and when he came back

McGhee along with Andy Carroll and John Craggs are the only players to play for us in 3 different decades.

I think.

Speaking of returnees Pavel, RIP, missed out by a couple of years of being another one.
