I don't get this justification of selling Isak if we get Sesko - he is no where near Isaks level- yet. We need to be giving it a year before we're even considering selling Isak. Have to remember Sesko is only 22 and new to the league- that is a lot of pressure to put on him. And it also goes against how Eddie tends to bed in new players.

Still hope we hold out for the full £150m minimum *IF* the decision is to sell him, but hope we'd dig in and maintain he's 'Not for Sale' this summer, and that's even if we managed to sign Sesko and Wissa.

Childish as it may seem, would rather keep an unhappy player who will come round once the window shuts, than sell him to them entitled ****s this summer.

I don’t think he’ll play for us again. A sad end, really.

Yeah, the final will always be a special memory but it’s going to take some mental gymnastics to get over seeing him score that goal and not being raging now.

Saying that, I thought Cole was a complete cunt after his cup final Keegan song, but recently love watching his goals back on YouTube. Maybe by 2055 I’ll be over the Isak thing enough to feel the same!

If we don't sell him for £150mil plus we have been robbed.  Extracting value can mean a lot of things- personally I think we'll gain more from keeping him a year and selling him next year- even if the amount we can get for him could be less.

Very poor move if we use Sesko to justify selling Isak to Liverpool. We should be playing hardball with them and not selling him this summer at all. Especially not for under our valuation.

Better than selling him with no replacement obviously, but still a weak move.

Wasn't the talk that for Isak to leave, we required replacements and Liverpool would have to meet our valuation?

Yep but this morning it seemed like sesko is the replacement and that will be enough to see Isak go. Hopefully not.

Scenes when Eddie sits down with Isak, they talk for a few hours, then Isak signs a new deal with.... AND we still sign Sesko and Wisss. :snod:

Don't hog the J, pal.

Would laugh my bollocks off if Chelsea sell Jackson and gazump Liverpool for Isak. And I really don’t like Chelsea either

He'd refuse to go so unfortunately so that won't happen

Who is this utter clown on SSN?

Apoarentky Isak has acted professionally and Eddie should welcome him back to training with open arms  - Eddie’s comment weren’t good about Isak apparently ha ha ha what a tit!

No need to sell Isak before Sep 1. Might as well sit it out and see what develops. An injury at other powerhouse clubs could bring them into the picture.

I would only sell early to Liverpool if Howe wanted Harvey Elliot, who looks like a Hall/Tino type bargain and would offer lots of flexibility to our (thin) squad. Any alternative to Elliot, there are better players out there like MGW, would also require a higher fee and protracted transfer process, likely ending in nothing like Guehi. Elliot's biggest problem appears to be Slot doesn't like him.

Getting Sesko feels like the final nail in the coffin for Isak's time at Newcastle. The writings been on the wall since he skived the Asia tour, anyone who thinks otherwise has been injecting copium.

What matters now is optics and saving face. Just cause we've 'replaced' Isak should not mean that we dance to Liverpool's tune and accept a penny less than the price we demanded from the get go. If they can't afford 150m*, too bad, they shouldn't have spunked 80m on Ekitike just to spite us. Isak is contractually obliged to stay here until Liverpool can cobble together an acceptable fee (cue PIF bailing them out for Nunez). We absolutley can not and must not buckle and let the dippers low ball us.

*Not sure if 150m is the price we've put on him but it seems to be the figure that gets banded about, seems reasonable as well.

Got to be a wind up surely. Mind you it's a fair reflection of the majority of the British public now a days who struggle to locate more than 1 brain cell.

The media narrative is focused on Isak going to Liverpool as a superstar. Not a whiney little bitch who cried off with a fake injury to force a transfer.

Amazed Sky were at training ground yesterday to watch Isak drive to work but aren't there today when Eddie + players back for training?
