Realistically though, Chelsea are more of a direct rival right now.  We won't finish ahead of Liverpool this season, but Isak to Chelsea could make the difference of them finishing above us or not.

We could very easily finish above Liverpool this season. A few key injuries to any of the top teams would have a big impact.

We can finish ahead of both teams if the cartel keep getting the benefit of VARtel. These teams are picking up results on the back of poor decisions already, and you know that the new rules re grabbing or pulling by defenders in the penalty box are never going to go against them. There'd be hell on.

Wouldn't change much. We are already having to prepare for the possibility he refuses to play the rest of the season anyways.

If he refused to pay then he'd 100% be off in January, possibly on loan with an obligation to buy next summer depending on the finances of the buying club.

Those sanctimonious cunts on Merseyside are going to lowball us in the final hours of the window. Scum

Then they don't get Isak and we have one of the best strike duos in the Premier.

They'll only respectfully lowball us once we call Liverpool to confirm the door is now open for bids for Isak to be submitted.

Do we really want to strengthen them? I'd rather sell to a non-English club for £120M.

For him to reintegrate into the team, he'd have to apologise to his teammates, to the fans, to the club, sack his agent, etc. I don't think he has the character for that.

If we don't end up selling him, I think the Woltemade signing gives him a potential narative for a way back in, like 'I felt that the club weren't matching my ambition before but the signings have convinced me that the club is going in the right direction'.

I’ll literally tug myself to death over the Scouse tears if we end up keeping him.

Imagine the fucking meltdown on Merseyside. [emoji38]

Want the rat to go but this would be funny as hell.
