If we blame this guy then we might as well pack it all up and fold the club now

Exactly, should never be so reliant on individual players (*cough* Bruno *cough*)

We can't just go round blaming losing 1 player, Brentford lost their main 2, Sunderland built a new team, Bournemouth lost players. We bought shit, the style is shit, the formation doesn't work and the manager has no clue what to do

He takes much of the blame for why we are in this mess. All that drama to go to a club who may fail to get UCL when he joins.

We don't have any of the success we had the last 3 years without him.

People need to get over Isak, he's always injured and might never be the same after yet another injury.

Our issue is that we had 200 million pounds and could have signed like 10 players.

I think my favourite highlight of this season so far is him breaking his leg.

I can feel my league ambition being reduced to Liverpool not getting CL, even if it means Villa, Man U and Chelsea.

I think Isak cost us four points or so at the beginning of the season, possibly six, but that is all. I'm happy with Wolte and Wissa given the struggle we had to sign other players, regret the Wissa injury (and Osula's) and just wish that the strikers we bought could have been integrated a bit quicker in a more settled way. We lost to Brentford because we handed them three, not because we only scored two.

I think the real cock up was that when Liverpool presented us with an opportunity to have a free run at Etikite we instead dug our heels in.

in hindsight that did so much damage

I don’t blame him at all.

Oh come on. There’s always shit takes  after bad results but Jesus Christ.

The guy literally dragged our summer through the mud and takes his portion of blame for the turmoil and the over the barrel position we found ourselves in. The club could have handled it better and been more realistic in what was likely but saying Isak has no blame is wild.

Just lost at home to a team that lost both their best forwards and their manager this summer.

Any talk of Isak's departure being to blame for our current situation should be put to bed.

They’d already signed Thiago the season before so it’s not quite them same

Well things don't have to be exactly the same to make the comparison.

He had played 170 mins for them before this season.

Interesting how Brentford keeps having success with cheap players from different league that we've never heard of. Then some are bigging up our scouting since we tried to sign the hottest Premier League prospects that even the cartel clubs wanted, and then subsequently panicking since we didn't have other ideas.

Phil Giles, a Geordie no less, is doing a good job there.

Heck, even under the Mike Ashley era we picked up Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Enrique, Cisse, Tiote, Cabaye, Santon, Schar, Joelinton and ASM. All bargains from other leagues, with no top club hijacking the deal.

We did well with that earlier with Bruno, Botman, Isak and Tonali, but despite our huge success with it, we seem to be increasingly more interested in PL players.

Putting Andy Howe in charge of recruitment to find a replacement for our best player really makes you laugh looking back.

That's down to PIF by not having a DOF/CEO in place - there was no support for Eddie.

Feels like this post is having to be repeated 3-4 times a day at least across multiple threads.

Look at the Mackems they have signed some decent players for a lot less than we spent and the likes of Sadiki, Mukiele, Diarra would have been useful in our team/squad

If we'd bought Brobbey the forum would have exploded man.

Ah undoubtedly but he's been a handful compared to our weak and meak forward line
