For the millionth time, we can't sell to a Saudi club. It will not help with PSR. Any move to Saudi needs to be ratified by PL. And Isak doesn't want to move out of Europe this early on in his career.

You've got this wrong.

They've spent a bit already and don't see him. It's Liverpool Chelsea or PSG bail us out.

It's aids basically.

PSG would be fine.

Chelsea could win the league if they get him alongside Xavi Simons

Liverpool must not get him.

It would become a Man City esque dynasty - the next 4-5 years would belong to them

Obviously Isak is a massive part of how we play and we can't really replicate it without him. So we probably need to change system.

Let's get rid of this cunt and get in Wissa, Sesko and Mgw quickly and go 4231.

I know it's not going to happen but boy we might have a shitty season next season if we don't wake up.

Staggered that there are some still thinking this is part of some masterplan to drive up the price or other such nonsense

We are getting battered here and him ending up at Liverpool will mean we are massive losers

Only way to get out of this with some sort of positive is managing to sell him abroad for £150m+

He isn't doing it for a new deal here though is he?

Not now he isn’t by the sounds of it

If we believe the reports he isn't interested in a new deal. Obviously we would be making him out highest paid player he's not interested.

He's made his bed.

We’ve had plenty of time - I’ve experienced in my day job, you get a job offer, inform your current employer you’re taking it and they suddenly offer you better terms.

My response is: go fuck yourselves, you should’ve paid me that in the first place

No reason Isak should be any different

The blame lies squarely with the club’s senior management and our absentee landlords

Slot isn't Klopp and Klopp got his Sporting Director of choosing. Liverpool owners have their own recruitment team again since Klopp left.

They are also not paying for the rebuild of two stands anymore while making a fortune from them

Which European teams can afford him?

No Serie A club.

No Bundesliga club. Bayern couldn't top Liverpool for Wirtz and struggling to come up with funds for Diaz.

No La Liga club. Real don't need him. Barca can't afford him. Couldn't afford Williams or Diaz.

Only PSG but they're not in the market for a forward.

Chelsea have Jackson, Delap, Pedro.

Arsenal have signed Gyokeres.

Only Liverpool. They're about to release several forwards: Nunez, Diaz, Chiesa, Doak and they no longer have Jota.

They need to sell Darwin Nunez first surely before giving the asking price, which I imagine would be 130 + add ons

I thought this would happen next summer, and may still do tbh.

Best case scenario is we get rid to PSG for £150m within the next week, gives us time, keeps him out of the PL and nets us a very solid fee.

Good luck to him, an incredible player who’s earned the right to make his money and win trophies. And those two things are the only real loyalty in football.

That’s a load of bollocks. Why did we sell Maxi?

Pure speculation. Liverpool still have £120m to spend even after Ekitike?

Yes, they will still sell Nunez, Diaz, Chiesa, Elliott, Morton and one of Robertson/Tsimikas. They will make around £200m on those sales.

Do we know he didnt say this already at the start of the summer? Eddie's comments might mean that, and Isak might have refused to play until transfer is sorted.

I still don't think Liverpool have the money to get him, Diaz replacement and a CB

Why do people keep saying this?

They spent nothing last year, they generate huge revenues

They can easily make a decent amount of money from selling Nunez, Elliott and even players like Morton they'd get around £20m for

Liverpool absolutely can afford Isak, just got to hope the club make it clear selling to another Premier League club is simply out of the question

They need Saudi help to get 200m for this assortment of mid.

You have to wonder what going through the mind of Bruno etc right now. This summer was supposed to be about clawing back some spending power from PSR and building the squad up for the CL season. We've bought Elanga and probably gonna sell Isak. If we don't properly reinvest this money I can't blame any of our top players following Isak out the door next summer.

He is poorly paid.  He could treble his wages tomorrow.

That is a major reason why he wants to leave.  He is poorly paid.

When Tonali left his boyhood club, he left because the money was too sweet. Every Ajax player earns good money compared to us - they still leave to join Bournemouth. We can’t have it both ways as fans.  Let’s grow up.

Spot on. Fine when it suits us, not fine when it doesn't. This is how football is these days.

A well run club doesn’t sell their star player under these circumstances.

We find a mutual agreement for 12 months. And plan for his exit properly.

The way we've conducted business this summer, we're anything but well run.

I think he'd have been happy to see out another season here on better terms with a release clause for next summer but he's sat and watched us lose out on transfer after transfer and only Elanga come into the squad. Its hardly inspiring or screaming title challengers is it?
