this is where we suffer from having employees run the club and not people who are passionate about it.

Our approach should be very simple. You want to leave fine? Submit your official request and we will not stand in your way. We want x amount and it's none negotiable. You can get your agent to warn his salary and sort the rest. Let us know when your ready.

I've seen too many inferior players go for similar to not be fucked off at the idea of anything less than 150 at least. 150 gets the phone answered.

It doesn’t if he wants off - our negotiating hand is completely fucked

It's a delicate one though, as by forcing him to stay you run the risk of (a) affecting other players in the squad, and (b) putting off new signings who may see the club as a stepping stone.

We're also not really in a position squad-wise where we can afford to have the best striker in the league either refusing to play or going through the motions on the pitch.

I think he'll go for around £125m if an offer of that magnitude comes in.

I agree but at the same time it's not the best example to the other team mates who may be thinking about a move away for more ££££.  The rot could set in.

Not going to lie, while from a club perspective if he does move him going to Al Hilal is the best outcome, my opinion of him personally would drop massively if he went to a Saudi club.

Absolutely sickening if he goes to Liverpool this window. I'd honestly rather chuck him in the reserves for 3 years than sell him to them after the way their fans have gone on.

I'm not siding with Isak, but if we are going to quote teams '£130m+' to sign him, essentially pricing him as the best player in the leauge, we can't turn around and get pissed off he/his agent feels that means he should get paid like one of the best players in the league.

True but he has 3 years at money he’s already agreed.

Why didn’t the absolute mug say this at the start of the summer or before Liverpool blasted all that money on another striker?

What an absolute disaster this summer has been

The club has made a complete and utter pigs ear of all of this

The lad should’ve been offered a new deal yonks ago - if anyone at the club was stupid enough to think ‘we’ve got him on a three year contract yet’, then hopefully they’re disabused.  If the lad is publicly wanting to go, that knocks tens of millions off the asking price

Exactly.  Dont blame the lad at all.  Why the fuck doesn’t he have a new contract?

And BTw kudos to Eddie. Now we know the truth he's done the right thing and told him to fuck off and train alone.

And I say this as probably his biggest advocate and defender. The bottom line is you don't want to be here? Pack your bags and fuck off you ain't bigger than us pal.

 All of this would be par for the course and understandable if we weren't the richest fucking club in the world.

That's the bit that annoys me.

Annoying as it it, fans need to accept that we aren't the richest club in the world, far from it.

We aren't even the richest club in the league in real terms.

Our owners wealth is far beyond any other but in reality we are so far behind the the "big 6" in terms of wealth and behind the majority of the league in terms of infrastructure, staff, and everything else behind the scenes.

Ps. Still doesn't stop this from being absolute turbo shite.

It's absolutely nothing to do with Ashley, its the current state of football. Not sure why you bought Ashley up?

Your post was worded like it was our window in particular not in general.

you'd rather walk away from signing 5 players? That's why fans make bad owners. Sell today & start building the squad

Waiting for a contract.  Waiting to see what we would do in the summer. Waiting to see who would be interested.

Outside of this - we look a shitshow.  You think Isak isn’t aware?

If losing Isak to Liverpool is the start of our supervillain fuck your rules era then I'm all for it. The meekness has to fucking end. Chelsea have spent 1billion since we were taken over.
