Ikon
One thing that i'm trying to use in my favor atm is that despite how damn good he has been he's still been inconsistent at times. Mainly because of his fitness issues last season at least. Edited July 24, 2025 by Ikon

If this was his stance, communicate it internally at the end of the season and allow us to strategise with the money. It could have made a huge difference in nabbing some of the targets we missed. Trafford would already be done Every chance Isak/the players were led to believe that this was the summer where we properly take off and pack the squad with some quality additions. Given the window as been a total mess since day 1 then it's probably made Isak think twice, especially with Liverpool sniffing.

I don’t think that would happen, he would sulk for a bit and then come back in. It won’t happen like but I would love to see the club flex its muscles a bit. You’re right, but that’s the risk - but I think once this happens the club will try to get the most possible and send him on his way I’m not even angry nor surprised by any of this - the current squad was never likely to be a long term one, and we bought players to flip them for big profit - but I’d have liked to see him in B&W for one more season. I’m confident we’ll spend the profit well - though that confidence is sapping daily

Infinitely Content
Sadly, him openly wanting to leave means it's likely going to be for less than his value. In my mind it's becoming increasingly likely to be £120-30m to Liverpool. And for me, it will be another example of the corruption and anti-competitiveness of the Premier League, as we're backed into this corner in large part because we're simply unable to offer him the wages he deserves, even just for a year to appease him. Not only are we not allowed to truly compete, but we're also unlikely to get full value for our players when we do come to selling as we don't come from a position of strength. I don't mind selling, but I do mind getting rinsed.
SiLvOR
Anywhere but Liverpool tbh. Really hate how weak we look at the moment, like we can just have our best player plucked from us because a few grifter "journalists" (Romano) whip up a media storm that says so. r0cafella
Just so people are aware, the reason he's told the club he wants to go without even having a fucking offer is to make us sell for a lower price. He wants to force the move.

At his best at a club which can manage his minutes better though he'll be the best on the planet.

Yes, but the whole Twittersphere wants the move and assumes he's going to Liverpool because their fans are the best at clicking on stories. This will sound like a Mackem but we cannot control the media. All we can do is refuse to be gaslit by other team's/fans' propaganda.

This is where I'm at with it all, we should have been coming out of last season, after having won a cup and qualified for the champions league, boosting our squad even further and making a push higher up the league, possibly even been in the title run ourselves. Instead we find ourselves digging through the bins round the back of Manchester United while the teams that finished 16th and 17th financially out-muscle us. We're all frustrated by whats happened this summer, imagine what it's like being a player at the top of your game with expectations and desire to win more. Guest
Just logged on to see this. Shocked. The last i was told and have been told since April by those very close is that its next year he would go and it would be Spain. There was a multi hour phone call between all parties including Liverpool last week and it was decided that NUFC would not budge on their stance both timing wise and financially, so Liverpool went for Ekitike instead. Even today I was told the stance stays the same and it would have to be something crazy and from abroad for this to happen this summer. They did mention cash and players would be acceptable and was discussed but the money is still record setting even in that case and all upfront.
