And neither has Isak. Season hasnt started yet. If he refuses to play against Villa, I get your point. He knows the club doesnt sell him if there is no replacement

But you just said Cabaye played until he was sold...

What he wants is to leave. He has three years on his contract and we’ve just got CL football. He doesn’t pull this move if he wants a contract upgrade, he does it because he wants to leave

Well documented that he wanted a new 5 contract...give him what wages he wants, we can't attract his level of player.

And if he does want to leave good luck to him..what a servant to the club, helped us win our first trophy in nearly 60 years. Same fans slagging off isak reckon Steven Taylor was legend..

He wants to move, but he is professional. Cabaye played until he was sold and wanted out many times.

You could not have used a worst example

Yea, and we shall see what Isak does. Do you think that if no move materialize, he just refuses to play in September? No chance that happening. We have to find a replacement and get a right fee, then he can leave.

How did you feel at the cup final last season?

I ask, as it must have felt for your generation and before it was never happening

I cried with joy and relief and hugged my son and wife.

Then I cried with joy for about two weeks watching highlights.

And I cried for me Mam who died in 2023.

He bend over and take another one up the arse.

We can’t give him what he wants, we have a wage structure, that due to clubs like victimpool, we need to adhere to or we’ll lose points

I hope not, there's no turning back now he's made his intentions public. We can't have anyone playing for us not giving 100% incase they get injured and jeopardise their next move. Get him to fuck.

There's a lot of mental gymnastics in play to reach this conclusion from "exploring options"

I know it's baldy baldwards but if this is true, we had a bigl sell-on clause to Sociadad ...

There would be no PSR constraints to speak of, but then you have to factor in that Real Socieded negotiated a sizeable sell-on clause in the £63m deal that brought Isak to St James’ Park back in 2022. Even a sale at £120m-£130m would only bring in around £50m-£60m of profit. It is not quite the game-changing amount people think.

Assuming he's taken amortisation into consideration when hes talking about a profit of only  £50-60m, thats a 25% sell on FFS.

Seriously doubt it’s a 25% sell on clause. What’s a standard sell on clause, 10%?

If there is one, could be anything - this is the first I've seen of this tbh - Im assuming (hoping) its a load of bollocks

If he’s talking about PSR ‘profit’ then £50-60m implies something closer to a 50% sell-on

Or is Baldwards talking shite as per?

If he's not taking amortisation into account - Iask is still £38m on the books - then yeah its about 58% -  the club couldn't be that stupid surely

I dunno. I’ve seen Arsenal fans already claiming Gyokeres is better and using stats from that joke of a league to somehow prove it

Don't forget Isak is injury prone. Guy on talk sport said only played 20 games last 2 seasons

Was fully prepared to lose him next summer, not this one. Especially not deep into July.

Don't blame him for wanting more money, elite players should be on elite money. As much as I hate to say it, don't expect him to feel the need to have any sort of loyalty to us over maximising his earnings and silverware.

We are still at the stage of likely going to find it difficult to constantly be able to retain our elite players if there is interest from the top 2 teams to be honest.

Would love if we sort the situation and he stays but would be gutted if he leaves, I don't subscribe to the whole "fuck him" mentality. There are bigger clubs that pay better than players want to play for.
