We need all of our business doing prior to any sale as prices are going to be ridiculous as soon as we accept.

Prices are already ridiculous even if we don’t accept so honestly I don’t think it can get any worse. In reality, everyone is probably already adding a 20% “Isak tax” to their asking prices.

Things can always get worse my friend.

Perhaps they can, but with all the public speculation there’s no reason for selling clubs to not have already started making asks that price in the need to replace Isak.

This is beyond weird now. It's just not adding up.

Liverpool have been way too passive in this whole pursuit and I'm not convinced they are actively trying to sign Isak.

I think his agent has initiated it all and approached Liverpool to try to to get him over there, and Liverpool will consider doing the deal only if we are looking to move him on and will take their £120 million offer.

Liverpool are seemingly not pushing for this at all and still have not bid, which is typically the most aggressive form of interest. Even with Isak kicking up a fuss and not going on tour they still haven't tried to apply further pressure with a bid.

Yet every hour of everyday these social media mouthpieces are constantly spouting the same nonsense to keep this in the news cycle about Isak wanting Liverpool. This has to be his agent.

The goal is likely to have the fans turn on him, and also weaken the clubs resolve until they give in and decide to get rid of him and inform Liverpool they will take their offer.

I don't think the club is going to go for this at all. They won't be looking for someone to give him away to for any kind of reasonable fee, just because all of this noise is being made.

Maybe I'm wrong, but something is really weird about all of this. I'm not convinced at all of Liverpool's supposed intent to get a deal done .

Lets see if a bid comes in this week like we keep being told will happen.

I can only see Liverpool doing a deal if we lower price, like we open the door for a fee that’s same to Wirtz (which we won’t nor should do).

If Liverpool wanted to pay another record price, the bid would be in by now. As much as guys keep saying they have loads of PSR headroom, they haven’t to drop £130m+ on Isak (and all that comes with it) to then have to sign a CB too. Maybe someone else after selling Nunez / Elliot / Chiesa as their attack is suddenly light in numbers again.

£250m+ on two players is not sensible squad building.

Then they can get to fuck.

The only useful thing to come out of this is learning that Sanusi is a turncoat dickhead and we need never get attached to him, even if he’s quality. Hope he’s gone within the next two years

He might be but it’s a lost cause if you can’t keep injury free.

If we had any sort of managerial structural at the club we'd be asking the top clubs in Europe if they want Isak next year Munich and Barca will surely be looking.

I don’t think they’ll even bid for him. They are just waiting for us to contact them and say “ok you can have him for the 120m”. They are just playing it ugly and taking a punt on it. Below the belt if you ask me, but it’s the mighty Liverpool so they’re doing everything greatly and beautifully according to the wider audience. They have nothing to lose by trying to create turmoil at our club. They see us as a future threat. Fucking despise them. Isak will have his tail between his legs soon.

Our team is full och characters and with the right mentality so I can see us doing well anyway. Obviously massively important that we start adding players asap. Despite how good Isak can be at times he’s only one player. Not bothered about him, we just need to sort ourselves out in the market. This team won’t quit on us.

^ This.

We need to disregard the Isak situation for now, and just focus on bringing in the players we need, whether thats the level of Sesko, or someone else/others.

No way we should be sitting around waiting for the Isak situation to resolve itself one way or the other. We can't leave it so late, that its then too late to bring players in.

If our spending and increased wages pushes us close to/over the PSR limits, then sell Isak next summer (if its not sorted this) to 'balance the books.

But even if he ended up staying after we brought someone like Sesko in, then its all better competition and strength for the squad this season.

It’s telling how when Liverpool are playing this out through their media mouth pieces, and we’re not even releasing any info. Just a standalone, not for sale. That’s all people have to go off for our end and it’s not moved for weeks now.

Would expect more to be leaked from his agent to the media if Isak was really kicking off for a move, which may come this week, otherwise Isak is staying and a 1% increase on a MGW situation happening.

If the Ben Jacobs piece is true then we're done here, we won't budge on our stance, he's not for sale, Liverpool would have had to table a bid we couldn't turn down but I think it's been clear since this started that they can't. This has all been to destabilise our position and get a world class player on the cheap, I hope we not only tell them where to go but put in an extensive complaint to the FA for their conduct.

Feeling i have is we will persuade him to stay for one more year with a hefty payrise (not quite £300k) with a gentlemen's agreement he can leave next summer if someone activates an £120m release clause. Gives us 12 months to lineup a long term replacement, The only way i can see him leaving for Liverpool is if they offer a player as part of the deal (Elliott/Nunez etc)

Excellent summary of what’s gone on and what our response should be. These Scouse cunts have used underhand tactics to unsettle Isak since the season ended.

Brilliant, Isak knows Liverpool don't want him so he can't blame us
