I’m actually hopeful he will stay, and that stems from Liverpool almost being reluctant buyers. 
it all looks like it’s the players camp that are pushing it. 
Liverpool seem to be like, if he is available we won’t say no, but this wasn’t the plan.

We are kind of fucked either way, if he does go and we bag £150-180 mil our team will never get the deals we need done, I wouldn't be confident even if we had another 12 weeks to get them done never mind 4 weeks.

 

If we do make him stay, we get stuck with a player who doesn't want to be here, possibly upsets dressing room harmony and half arses his performances, if Craig Hope is to be believed the contract situation likely accounted to to his slow start to the season and then again for his poor form at the back end of the season.

 

There's no perfect scenario anymore, this whole saga has completely fucked an already almost fucked transfer window and the longer it drags on the less chance there is of us doing the right deals and getting the best players available.

 

Sad state of affairs, I can't believe this squad needs to be champions league ready with the time we have left.

It’s a weird one, it’s dragged on for so long without actually a lot happening. 
 

the only noises of him refusing to train are from the Liverpool end. If we take the locals journos at face value then he has a legitimate injury and is open to a move, rather than refusing to travel/train to make it happen.

 

as each day passes I’m more and more confident he will be here come the end of the window, with possibly a new deal including a gentlemen’s agreement/release clause for next summer, dependent on our performance. 
 

if we get CL again & win another trophy, who knows, maybe he will stay.

I would at least hope that club would have the sense to not let him go if it drags on much longer unless we already have the replacements as done deals...e.g Sesko and Wissa which we won't.
