El Prontonise
Player and representatives gets 9% of any deal as well if they don't put in a transfer request (which is why it never happens nowadays). Something missed off when people discuss money and doing transfer deals.
Sibierski
It’s also nice of Soceidad to allow Isak to use their facilities whilst we’re away. Keeping an eye on a player they have more of a stake in than Liverpool. As a thank you, we’ll take Turrientes on a deal both parties are happy with again. Does he have the worst stamina in football? This is why Liverpool want Ekitike as well, they can do 45 minutes each. Not saying anyone should read too much into it but that's literally how betting markets work, bookmakers price things up to something well over 100% and make the profit from that overround. Something missed off when people discuss money and doing transfer deals. Is this unique to us/the Premier League? I know a couple of players who played further down the leagues (one of them in the championship for a time) and I know they lost some of their contracted bonus by submitting a transfer request, but that was it. On another note, quick reminder that Wayne Rooney handed a transfer request in at Man United when Man City wanted to sign him, then ended up staying there for years. These things do happen (not that I think Isak will, or should).

Do any of you remember the John Hartson thing with Coventry years ago? I think this forum was responsible for making him odds on. It doesn't take much betting to move the market. Dokko
Smart money is on him staying. No realistic options. No bid. Liverpool spent a fortune already. No transfer request. We don't need the money. Atm all we have is media outlets trying to piggy back something for their own gains. No direct quotes from the player or agent as far as I'm aware. Just noise from camp type stuff. I mean yeah and then they push out other stuff and over time the weight of money should (in theory) level it all out to something close to the likelihood in reality, anyway these sort of betting markets are just novelty Mickey Mouse stuff and nobody is really putting any money into them so it's just nonsense
Cronky
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but amongst the chaos, the rumour I'm most inclined to believe is that the owners have told him he's staying this season no matter what. Presumably they'll be expecting him to rejoin the squad when they return from the Far East. Time will tell whether that's the right move. Most clubs will bite the bullet and accept the reality of player power. The Saudis are new to this game and won't like being pushed around. My worry is that Isak won't be giving it 100% because he won't want a serious injury to ruin his chance of a big money move at the end of the season. Having said that, it's arguable that holding back actually increases the risk of injury. If it all falls out this way, a big onus will be on the capacity of Eddie and the squad to re-motivate the player. It's a gamble that deserves to succeed, so if only for that reason, I'm in favour.
