I get where you're coming from, but at the same time the longer this drags on, the bigger the shit we're going to find ourselves in in terms of any form of adequate replacements.

Surely the deals all have to be linked? We can't sell him unless we get 2 strikers. It would be way too risky to take the money without any confidence that people are about to sign.

I just wouldn't sell him, why should we be forced into it? We have no leverage currently in terms of a bidding war, apparently only these scumbags can currently bid for him so they're trying everything they can to get him cheaper. Despite paying top money for two unproven players from Germany, they want Isak on the cheap. It's quite blatant, they don't want to finance us any more than they have to. Fuck Liverpool. We should feel no pressure to sell. Fuck Liverpool.

Against all reasonable logic, I'm prepared to take some short term pain, if it means fucking Liverpool over and Isak not going there.

You do not sell him unless you're happy with 2+ players you sign that with some 90%+ probability of replacing his goal contributions over the next 2+ years with your moves. Simple as that.

I think this just needs to happen, if they get to £150m then just resolve it. He’s not even going to be fit for the start of the season and I harbour doubts he’ll even look interested considering he was apparently miffed at the contract situation and that coincided with his very slow start.

Please explain? We don't NEED to sell Isak, no. But we most certainly aren't rolling in it from a PSR point of view and most definitely need to not go into the season with a player who doesn't want to be here and who's massively pissed off (some of) his teammates and staff. I don't see any feasible way for him to still be our player by the end of the window and for it to go well.

It's most definitely our problem like.

You are saying sell him so we can buy a replacement, well we already needed a striker regardless. We have money to strengthen the squad without needing to sell him.

Isak's behaviour now makes sense with this shitty bid

No doubt him pretending to be injured and the training away is all part of making it so toxic that we just want rid

This would make me even more stubborn and increase the asking price further, Liverpool and Isak are both scumbags

Eddie Howe has said on more than one occasion we have money to spend. Of course selling Isak gives us more but we still have to replace Isak

Sounds like if he's mopey and shit he'll shut his fucking mouth next season and play.

And exactly what message would it send to our squad if we crumble to these loathsome bastards now? That we'll give in and sell to anyone who decides they have to have our best players as cheaply as possible? What's next summer's saga gonna be? Tino to City on the cheap? Tonali to Chelsea? Fuck these clubs man.

100 percent. Fuck Isak, send a message to the squad, we're not a stepping stone.

If Isak’s price tag was £150m at the start of the window (we all know our position was don’t sell but everyone has a price) then it’s significantly above that now because of the stage of the window, the lack of replacement and the appalling behaviour of Isak and Liverpool. He’s sold on our terms, not theirs

I hate the prick for the way he has gone about this and never want to see him in a black and white top again, yet at the same time I really want us to tell him to grow the fuck up put his dummy back in and give us one more year. Tell him he can leave next summer on our terms once we can get a decent replacement. We can't just let a player dictate to us like he is trying to do and need to show we as a club cant be messed with like this .

Again everyone keeps repeating but this is exactly what this behaviour is designed to do. Get fans pissed off to the point they just want rid and settle for less than worth just to get rid of the "hassle".

You can't reward Isak and Liverpool and allow them to pull our pants down.

Going into this summer we would all agree that of all the players we have Isak is the most irreplaceable and therefore the most valuable. He has 3 years left on contract and so even if we have to sell we can afford to wait until next summer to do so.

There is zero benefit to the club to sell other than to avoid having a grumpy player.

But again having a grumpy player who likely eventually will snap out of it and get his head down is better than having no fucker.

The structure means absolutely nothing to PIF. It all hits PSR the same if it's up front or spread out over a hundred years.

The only reason to demand it upfront is to fuck with these lowlife wankers.

What do you think is going to happen when we're looking for an adequate replacement and the whole world knows we have an extra £150m in our pocket?

As much as I really dislike the way Liverpool, Isak and the media have played this, and I am fully aware of his ability, he simply has to be sold for the right deal.

Other players will 100% be losing patience with him and how much they respect him and like him will be on the constant slide in my opinion.

Same with staff no doubt.

The fans will turn on him for his actions, and he cannot really not 'get that' given the way things have gone.

Him staying in my opinion, is a complete non-starter. You cannot have players who have behaved like that, around the camp, and try to have a harmonious atmosphere, based on a team which are all willing to pull in the same direction. It just seems a HUGE contradiction.

The other players and staff will also learn that kicking up a fuss to get what you want works.

I'm sure Liverpool, Man United, Spurs, Arsenal players were all pissed off with the endless list of players who tried this with them only for the club to say no.

This is beyond Isak and the repercussions on the squad now, this is about who we are and want to be.

I'd be more inclined to agree with you if a) we knew how to sign anyone and b) it wasn't Liverpool
