Not at £150m? So where does the confidence come from then? We're not selling him for less you muppets.

I feel like everyone involved in this deal has lost their minds ;D

Currently hyperventilating and searching desperately for Xanax tablets. Tears streaming down his pathetic face as he realises he can’t use the ‘ON’ line and emojis in his tweets.

Don’t worry, he’ll be out soon with something like this -

“There’s a feeling that Newcastle have overplayed their hand. Liverpool aren’t going to be bullied and see themselves as having acted with decorum and class throughout this saga. The player feels badly treated and is praying that a release from the hurt locker comes before it’s too late. 🙏 for Isak.”

Mmmmmmmm, Xanax.

There was a tweet last week claiming that Yasir would be handling the Isak situation personally. No idea how true that is, though.

I think the Gordon interview today, the fact Eddie has never looked rattled and SSN looking like the season can't start yet is reason to believe Yasir has got this.

To unsettle him and it has worked.

I think Isak knows very well that he wont be sold for such a ridiculously low price, so he can't moan that the club rejected it.

Liverpool scum.

Makes sense completely, Isak is too big an asset to be let go easily or cheaply. If he was worth £40m he’d probably already be gone.

I can’t get my head around it. Isak agrees personal terms with Liverpool but did Liverpool say ‘you might not join us though because we are not going to pay what your valuation is’. Weird.

It’s a tactic. Whether we like it or not they’ve been playing games since day 1. We need to stand firm

The fucker's will be back. They would never 'agree terms' with Isak then lowball like this without a plan. It'll either be a few more quid in a few weeks time, or around the same as now next summer.

It depends how strong the message was that he's not for sale. I've seen some suggestions that we won't sell unless we get a replacement and £150m. But that would be weak in my book. I'm hoping we've just told them "No chance, and don't bother picking up the phone again."

1 thing that this thread and subject has been good for is the total embracing of Cunt. It's such a fantastic word. Nothing compares to it for me. When you say it people know you mean it.😃

I should know, being a cunt and that.

I mean, I know I’ve shared a lot of my own views and some from behind the scenes in the last few days, but imagine how mint it would be if we somehow announced a new contract and number 9 shirt before next weekends friendlies 😁

I don’t want him sullying the #9 now. Keep it free for his replacement next summer.

This is how I see it too. It 100% isn't over.

This was my recollection too, although there's nothing to say he wasn't tempted during the Gullit era as well.

I might be mistemembering it as well, but wasn't it Robson that was trying to sell Shearer to Liverpool after we signed Kluivert then Shearer went to Fat Fred kicking off/cryarseing (delete as applicable) about it and FS then went and over-ruled/undermined (ditto) Robson and refused to sanction the sale.

I've drunk a lot of pints since then so I might have got that completely wrong mind.

So it would have been right before Robson left. That would be the beginning of the 2004-2005 season.

Sounds like Shadow Puppets has heard Isak is definitely signing a new contract and getting the number 9 shirt.

Then it is what it is and he can stay.  We just have to be firm.  I wouldnt worry about the fans not taking him back and he shouldnt.  Just show him the clips of Liverpool fans burning Gerrards shits on the anfield gates when he nearly joined Chelsea.  We should show him that anyway.

They really are filthy animals.

Guarantee if he stays they’ll bid again in January to unsettle him further and disrupt our season. Dirty rat cunts

Anyone heard from the fat bald Youtube nonce yet on how we're breaking the Geneva convention keeping him here against his will and that Eddie should be tried at The Hague.

If we keep him I can't wait to see him fucking melt into his chair.
