From St James’ Park the message remains an uncompromising no, especially given the difficulties they have had in recruiting a striker.

It's actually disgusting a NE journo would write a PR piece for Liverpool but it's utterly unsurprising given I've seen 3 other journalists glazing Liverpool fans for leaving comments about isak.

It’s a non story unless Liverpool massively up their bid and we get a striker he’s going nowhere

Guess for the likes of Liverpool they can unsettle a player with their interest and then capitalise on that situation.

at the very least they have ensured they have a far easier game against us in a few weeks compared to if none of this had happened and Isak had done a full pre-season and was fully committed. Now they likely only have to face us with Gordon or Osula upfront. 

 

Worst case is they have fucked our whole season by contributing to our summer transfer chaos, turning Isak's head so much that he might throw a full strop and refuse to play or possibly buy him for less than we wanted to sell.
