samptime29
Just saw Eddie Howe's comments. He looked so angry. Could see it in his eyes. I think Isak will be sold.
duo
Isak is doing what he's doing to drive down the price as Liverpool were never going to pay £150mil for him.

Keegans Export
This is a guy who doesn't even like loan deals because he only wants players who are fully engaged - he wants Isak out 100% in my opinion and the only reason he's not being more forceful about that publicly is because he doesn't want to weaken our hand. Kid Icarus
I really hope we're willing to hold firm then because it couldn't be any more obvious that Liverpool's next bid is going to be another insult around £120m, followed by all of their media shills insisting it's a fair deal and we're mental not to take it. He didn't make it in Germany and almost failed to live up to his potential after going to Real Sociadad. We took a chance. Last season watching the games and now proof he fakes injury, he totally turns off for matches and doesn't appear to have a good relationship with eg Gordon. If Eddie indicates the group has a problem with him and seeing his strike - Isak might have serious character flaws. Makes me want to cash out now much more The guy is an ingrate with a pea sized heart. He should feel strong loyalty to Howe for what he’s done for his career, but instead all he has to offer is petulance and disrespect.
Ikon
Isak is only one player. Team and club is much more important. It’s all about what we do in general when it comes to replacing him and most importantly how we strengthen elsewhere. I have massive belief in Howe and the current players and what we still can do even without Isak. We just need to give the players and Howe some extra help and provide some quality and depth and we will be just fine. My main concern is more about getting the right deals in, and in big enough numbers. IF we can get Wissa in to begin with and add a top quality CM and CB plus a possible Isak replacement if he leaves then I’m certain we will do well. Let’s not forget that Howe will fine tune even more out our current squad. The players don’t suddenly get worse. Just get the fucking players in and we move on. We have players like Botman coming back properly (hopefully) and Hall who missed a lot last season. Meanwhile we both need quality and depth (obvious reasons), signing tons of new players to go straight in doesn’t necessarily mean we are a lot better in an instant. Think if it was a club abroad, after that first bid we’d have worked out a deal and he’d be gone for £110m rising with add ons, 100%. Liverpool is literally a club we’re trying to compete with over next 3-5 years, and giving them Isak in his prime years doesn’t help us. Has to be an eye watering amount past £150m to make it palatable.

duo
Liverpool are arrogant enough to take the player we were trying to replace Isak with. Get PIF to offer Isak a route to a Saudi club and tell Isak - if you want out - there you go.
gbandit
Our job now is to bring in two quality strikers and hold firm until our valuation is met, and we keep increasing it while it remains not met
Dandy Man
Some Trump style tactics from Isak here, everybody loses if he carries on with this stuff and the only short term solution is for us to capitulate and screw ourselves in the process, coming round to the idea of calling his bluff and letting it go to shit as a matter of principle

But IF Eddie wants him gone then if we can get Wissa in, CB,CM and a n other striker, we’ll be good. He’ll make sure of that. Will be nice to draw a line under this and kick on. Ikon
There’s no need for us to consider opening any doors. If someone wants him then make a genuine proper bid or fuck off. Absolutely sick of the talk from media/social platforms. I’ve been staying away entirely from it now because they talk so much utter nonsense and think as if we have to give him away. Low level rats all of them.
robbo_11
If you look at it from the other side, say he signs for Liverpool at the £150m mark we want, they'll be happy and rightly so. However once he has won a title with them and Real Madrid, Barcelona or another super club come calling his agent will do the same thing to Liverpool. He is the main player on the roster for the agency, the meal ticket, so he would effectively get them 2-3 seasons and be turning 28 or 29 and then its another big move. It is down to morals, values and character traits which won't change whichever shirt he is wearing. We signed him, developed him into what he currently is and now he wants to move. It doesn't have anything to do with Mitchell or a new contract promise, but this is going to get fed through as a narrative. I'll see you in 2029 when he only wanted <insert super club>.
